It has to dry completely before the insulation and cover is replaced. It you can get it inside that would be highly recommended. Good luck and sorry for your troubles!Re: 6.4L Hemi mpg reportThanks for the report! I've wondered how I'd do towing, MPG-wise, with my 6.4L Ram.Re: Post your tow vehicle pics hereOur Dodge MegaCab was damaged by an idiot who was texting while driving - she STOPPED on the interstate then got smacked by an F-350 dually, I smacked him and he smacked her again - and it was in the shop for a month: Got it fixed and back out on the road again: But all kinds of trouble came after the repairs...bad sensors, PCM to main harness connection, steering wobble, driveline vibration and whine...and one morning it just quit on me. I did some repairs and immediately turned it over on a new truck. Even so, I miss this truck: Here's the new TV - A 2014 Ram 2500 crewcab with the Big Horn option package and 6.4L HEMI: We haven't owned a TT in a while but I got the itch again. Time to go shoppin' for 5'vr!Re: One year update on my 6.4L HemiI just recently purchased a 2014 Ram 2500 with the 6.4L and the Big Horn option package. I am doing the math on what I can tow and this thread has been vary valuable to me, especially the info from all you 6.4L owners who tow with it. The brand name, 1/2T vs. 3/4T, up the hill and down the hill BS wasn't helpful but I'm sure in some ways it was inevitable. :R Here's the truck. It only has a bit over 1100 miles on it but I can already tell this is gonna be much more of a truck than my 5.7L equipped MegaCab. Re: Starting Over korbe wrote: You work for a utility company? The orange cone placement gave you away. :B hahaha....Yes I do, korbe. I was at one of our hydroelectric reservoirs inspecting some work when I took that picture. :)Re: Starting OverThank you for the links, ramgunner!Re: Starting OverNot sure about the turning radius yet unless I put in a slider hitch. I'd want one in any event as it's a short cab. The box won't block my view as it doesn't now. I can also relocate the rear camera to up near the center high mount stop light. Anyway, I have some math to do to see what this thing will tow.Starting OverOur shortbox Ram and small Jayco 5vr are no more so we are starting over. I purchased a 2014 2500 Ram with the 6.4L HEMI gas engine and am now searching for our next 5vr. Given that we have a lot more power, torque and capacity on hand we'll have an opportunity for a bit larger unit. So hopefully in the next month or two we'll have a complete rig again and can hit the road for some summer fun. Here's the Ram: Re: Short Box + 5'VR = Disaster????Yes, I've seen the results as well. It would be a disaster for me. What a way to ruin a great outing. The repair costs would definitely suck up money that would be better spent elsewhere!Re: Short Box + 5'VR = Disaster???? dmeck wrote: You will want to watch your tool box if you leave it in your truck. Yup...one more item on my list of measurements to make. Thanks!
