Pull the cover and insulation, replace it all and spray the underside with a light bleach and water solution to disinfect it. It has to dry completely before the insulation and cover is replaced. Our Dodge MegaCab was damaged by an idiot who was texting while driving - she STOPPED on the interstate then got smacked by an F-350 dually, I smacked him and he smacked her again - and it was in the shop for a month: Got it fixed and back out on the road again: But all kinds of trouble came after the repairs...bad sensors, PCM to main harness connection, steering wobble, driveline vibration and whine...and one morning it just quit on me. I did some repairs and immediately turned it over on a new truck. Even so, I miss this truck: Here's the new TV - A 2014 Ram 2500 crewcab with the Big Horn option package and 6.4L HEMI: We haven't owned a TT in a while but I got the itch again. I just recently purchased a 2014 Ram 2500 with the 6.4L and the Big Horn option package. I am doing the math on what I can tow and this thread has been vary valuable to me, especially the info from all you 6.4L owners who tow with it. The brand name, 1/2T vs. 3/4T, up the hill and down the hill BS wasn't helpful but I'm sure in some ways it was inevitable. :R Here's the truck. It only has a bit over 1100 miles on it but I can already tell this is gonna be much more of a truck than my 5.7L equipped MegaCab.349Views0likes0CommentsRe: Starting Over
Not sure about the turning radius yet unless I put in a slider hitch. I'd want one in any event as it's a short cab. The box won't block my view as it doesn't now. I can also relocate the rear camera to up near the center high mount stop light. Anyway, I have some math to do to see what this thing will tow.311Views0likes0CommentsStarting Over
Our shortbox Ram and small Jayco 5vr are no more so we are starting over. I purchased a 2014 2500 Ram with the 6.4L HEMI gas engine and am now searching for our next 5vr. Given that we have a lot more power, torque and capacity on hand we'll have an opportunity for a bit larger unit.
