I didn’t realize this could be a problem.Re: towing with a TeslaBest selling car, not vehicle.Re: Ram 6.7 no startIf you boost it and it starts it’s the batteries.Re: EV alternative for light/medium duty trucksI have a Mustang Mach E. You can not precondition the batteries unless you are plugged into a 240 volt power source. In fact at 35 below you would be lucky to add a mile of distance for every 10 hours of charging on a 110 volt. Cold is a big enemy of BEV’s, both in range and charging speed.Re: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th ! Pbutler97 wrote: This thread is like an antibiotic resistant STD. These days, if you try to plant a rose bush environmental radicals shut you down. They probably won’t shut you down if it’s to make batteries. Well, at least if it’s batteries for electric vehicles that is!Re: MotorTrend F150 Lightning Tow TestI’m not an anti electric vehicle person. Actually almost bought the Mustang Mach E GT. Biggest reason I didn’t is the lack of level 3 chargers in my area which is central Alberta. My daughter lives in Walla Walla Washington, population 34,000 and lots of tourists because of its many wineries. There are 0 level 3 charging stations in Walla Walla. I’m guessing there’s many more cities all over with the same story.Re: MotorTrend F150 Lightning Tow TestActually, most 1/2 tons are used just as a mode of transportation and tow nothing in their lifespan.Re: 2023 Ford Super Duty PButler96 wrote: FishOnOne wrote: Having said that there's some rumor Ford will install a bed step at the front of the bed just like GM. Sure hope this isn't true as that bed step is hideous looking and literally is too high to be useful. The bed steps on the GMC Ive been driving at work is pretty **** useful from what I have experienced, better than climbing in the bed or getting a stepladder if you need to retrieve something that slid to the front / center. I had wheel to wheel running boards on my Ford SD. Works as good as the bed steps on the GM’s and looks a heck of a lot better.Re: Tesla Semi truck unveil & test ride set for Oct 26th ! Seems to be throwing rocks from his glass house when he compares the Ford website to the software glitches on his favorite brand, or the hardware failures that they think are acceptable, I am still waiting for that Semi, with 500 miles range pulling 80k pounds. Oh, it will happen. The problem is that 60,000 pounds of the 80,000 pounds will be batteries!!
