I was hoping Navychop would respond to this one. There is some (limited) discussion on the Kippor a few pages back. Again, look for comments by Navychop. As to $702 shipped? I think the forum might like to know that as well. If you have such a source, please share it. I think last year Mike R. got his from svgenerator for that price, but he had to wait about 5 months for it. Don't think you will find one for that price anymore. svgenerator is selling on Ebay again, but his price is now higher. I'm pretty sure that is where that figure came from, but I may be wrong..Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. Pirate wrote: I followed this topic when it began but lost it after I went camping. Too much to read and I tried to search. What I'm looking for is info I thought the professor posted about using some form of circuit breaker with the elim3000. Anyone remember reading something like that? Were you referring to using a GFCI between TT and genset?? If so, check out these posts. Link . Also, in order to take advantage of all available power, you should have both breakers on front of genset on.. Hope this helps...Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. No problems other than cheap 110v outlet which I replaced as the Prof recommended.. Roughly 30 hours on mine to this point.. You have to wonder if the increased demand for these units affected QC.. Hope they resolve your problem quickly!!Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info.I have never, from day 1, gotten any smoke.. About 20 hours on mine so far, and no problems.. Think you have a dud!! Maybe somehow get ahold of the parts breakdown for that model and go from there.. I assume you are mounting it inside a compartment where you cannot get to the pullstart, because these things start very easily as Curly2001 stated.. Here is the link to the JD series gensets..
