Re: towing with a Tesla"Worst case we can do a 100 miles every three hours"Re: Air ConditionerOur newer Atwood is so much quieter than the Dometic it replaced which wasnt that old either. I believe Atwood designed their units with airflow and noise in mind.Re: Dometic JunkWhen we were replacing the Dometic AC on our new trailer in 2017 I researched high and low for the best and bought a Atwood AirCommand. Took a few weeks for delivery as it was from Australia but compared to the Dometic, well it doesn't compare to a Dometic they aren't even close to the same. Unfortunately Dometic bought AtWood a few years ago and I'm sure have had their engineers build in some planned obsolescence.Re: Rocket exhaust from diesel regenThe piece of heavy equipment I drive at work says during regen to assure that the exhaust is not pointed at anything flammable. Trees, buildings, fences, cars, etc. This makes me think they expect some serious heat to come out the pipe. The exhaust system is quite long also running down the chassis and up out the rear framework.Re: F150 5.0 V8 or V6 Twin TurboI'd go with the EcoBoost for a daily driver and keep it in the Eco and out of the Boost as much as possible.Re: Will Air bags make a big difference?Air bags and E rated truck tires might solve your issue.Re: oil filter?I only use Baldwin filters so for your application it would be a Baldwin B329.Re: Priming the water pumpWhen filling from dry tanks I usually open the pressure release on the water heater. As the tanks fill eventually the water heater fills and water will spit out. Then I close the pressure release and continue filling the tanks. Once they are full I pull the kitchen drawers out and make sure the water filters have water in them. If not I remove them and fill them up, sometimes I change the filter cartridge also. Tighten up the water filters and then open the bathroom faucets and kitchen faucets and turn the pump on. Generally it primes somewhat quickly. Do remember a few times I was wondering if it ever was going to though.Re: What broke my window? Our friends had a side window explode on their brand new Thor toy hauler. Thankfully they hired a lawyer as there was a magnitude of other problems but a window did blow out for no reason.
