I met a woman on a health board who ran into a similar situation. She had found a stray boxer and the owner said she didn't want it anymore once they located the owner (it appears she had LET it wander off on purpose). This dog, just like Old Fella, was in need of expensive vet care. I relayed to her the story of Old Fella and sent her the links to the article and Old Fella's webpage. I told her about how Old Fella's vet had accepted funds on his behalf and the idea had worked well to gather money for Old Fella's care. So this woman's husband did the same concept with his motorcycle club (and online associated group). They arranged with this boxer's vet to accept funds for the boxer's care - and now the vet is getting checks from all over from those who have heard this boxer's story. Everything we all did for Old Fella will actually inspire a similar response for another needing, and deserving, dog! KarinRe: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}Just wondering if there's an internet site or anything out there on Old Fella. I tell the story all the time and wanted to send any kind of article (couldn't find one one line) or website there is. ThanksRe: A very old stray {The Old Fella Story}This story is truly amazing. I've been away from rv.net for a few weeks and I missed seeing the wonderful story unfold. Old fella, as well as Izzie and Levi, are certainly blessed to have such wonderful 'parents'.
