There is a tough plastic hem line where the tent is fastened to the camper, but it is starting to split at the corners. I am sure I can fix this myself if I can find the plastic hem line. Anyone else ever have this issue? 2005 Aerolite Cub 23tt We have a 2006 Aerolite Cub and had to have both canvas ends repaired (at different times) by TopStitch. They do a great job, affordable and are quick with the fix/turn-around on replacing the J-lock plastic strips sewn to the canvas. We're happy with them and they have never leaked. We shipped it to them, they fix and ship it back. Sales/Warranty/Parts & Service Top Stitch office 574-293-6633 cell 574-596-2705 Address: 921 Summa Dr, Elkhart, IN 46516 We talked to Candie Bartley (cbartley@topstitch-inc.com) P.S.- We picked up our second bunk end since we were in the area. Just saying that they do exist. :-)Bunk seal replacement on CubSo it's been a while since I've posted here, but was going to add to the closed post: https://forums.goodsamclub.com/Index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/25412006.cfm I added the new seals on the Dutchmen Hybrid Cub we have. It's now time to replace them .. already. The ones I used for the bunks: Seals for the bunks from http://uni-grip.com/?portfolio=tape-seals (30ft total, with a little extra to be sure): * 40ft - SD-313-T (white) = $1.25/ft The SD-313-T seal worked for a while. But after about a year, the small ridges (which I thought would seal better to the bunk) on the top of the seal started to grab and roll into the bunk door on one side when the bunk is being closed (pulling the seal off the seated, adhered edge). So it needs to be a smooth dome instead of ridged. So I'm looking at SD-805-T (since they don't make a domed .750"x.750" seal). Also, because of the edge didn't seat right, it has introduced a new problem.. the hinged bottom of the bunk door is rotted out on the inside (on the driver's side). As my Dad always said, "Water will always find a way." So it will be a new quest of repair after the seals are fixed. :-\Re: What's that cover-trim called? 2oldman wrote: This? Bingo! Wasn't sure if there was a specific name for it besides 'vinyl trim.' >-D Thanks 2oldman!What's that cover-trim called?Forgive me for my ignorance... What's the trim called that fits within the channels around the areas that have screws on the outside of a trailer? Where can you get replacement strip/rolls to replace the existing? Mine is grossly mildew-stained and some of it is tacky (breaking down). Thanks!Re: 'ieoriginals' still out there for canvas bunk repair? Candie4749 wrote: The company I work for is a supplier of tents for hybrids. Top-Stitch located in Elkhart Indiana. We also do remakes and repairs. Candie4749: Would love to get your contact info! I can ship the bunk end to you? We're also making a trip from NC to Nappanee, IN later in the summer. So if we don't get it shipped, we can literally drop it off? :-)Re: 'ieoriginals' still out there for canvas bunk repair? mbopp wrote: You can also try Bear Creek Canvas. Their forte is pop-ups but they used to have hybrid canvas listed on their website. Thanks mbopp, I'll give them a call and see what they say.Re: 'ieoriginals' still out there for canvas bunk repair? bcbouy wrote: just wondering, why use the same company that only lasted 3 years between repairs? i used canvasreplacement.com to make my sun lite canvas.if they don't have a pattern, you can send the old one to them and they make a new one. The cub has two fold-outs. I only had one end fixed. The other ripped last year. So this is a different rip/end than what she fixed. She did awesome work and the front canvas is doing great.'ieoriginals' still out there for canvas bunk repair? We had one end of our Cub bunk ends repaired by ieoriginals (Brandie) back in 2011. Does anyone know if she's still in business repairing bunk ends? Thanks!
