We love it! Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~ newk wrote: Tie Hack site #4... What a great campsite!!!Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~ monakayk wrote: What a beautiful place!! Any showers there or nearby? So you were able to drive to Glen Alpine Falls? Or was there a hike to get to the actual falls? The falls are lovely. It was beautiful! There are bathrooms scattered throughout the campground along with brand new showers and bathroom buildings throughout and all the bathrooms are cleaned 3 times a day! Great staff too! We did drive to the falls, BUT after doing so I have a few suggestions, if possible drive to the falls on a weekday, the road gets busy and it is a single lane road for the most part, so you will be yielding to traffic quite often, also once you get to the firehouse where there is a sign posted for Glen Alpine Falls, I suggest parking there and walking the short walk up to the falls because with a tow vehicle it can be tricky to back down the narrow road after viewing the falls.. Thank you so much for sharing this and your description of what we are seeing! Happy Trails, Okie. Your welcome and thank you for the kind words!! :) camperfool wrote: Now this in camping!!! Were there many generators running since no electric provided? We enjoy this type of camping (rustic even with a rig). You might consider a solar panel if you can find areas of sun. Thanks for the pics they are great!!! God sure blessed this nation with all the wonderful places. There were generators mostly Honda's, we used ours to use the microwave, TV for a couple hours at night after the campfire and to charge the batteries..we used the generator sparingly as everyone else only fired them up when they needed them..by the weekend we were surrounded by tent campers only.. We do have a small solar panel to trickle charge the batteries, but we need a bigger panel, it would help a lot!Re: ~Post your campsite photos here~We spent 8 gorgeous days at Fallen Leaf Campground in Lake Tahoe, CA... This is by far my favorite campground that I have ever stayed at ever! I highly recommend Fallen Leaf if your ever planning a trip to Lake Tahoe. There are no hookups, but that's the beauty of it! Campsites are spread out nicely, the sites have sun and shade with tons of trees, the bathrooms are cleaned 3 times a day and they just built new shower/bathrooms throughout the campground and while we were there they replaced our already nice picnic table with a brand new one. I would say its 50/50 tent campers and RV's at least while we were there. The staff was great, we'll definitely be making this at least an annual vacation if not more often! Our super spacious corner campsite.. A view from the other side of camp.. Many of the campsites are backed up to beautiful meadows.. Follow the path through the campground to get to the gorgeous Fallen Leaf Lake.. A view of Fallen Leaf Lake from the other side.. Meadows just beyond the campground on our way to the falls.. If you visit Lake Tahoe and/or Fallen Leaf Campground you must take the drive down the 5 miles of narrows roads to the gorgeous Glen Alpine Falls..this photo doesn't do it justice! More of the falls as they flow into Fallen Leaf Lake.. And last but not least, Lake Tahoe from the Nevada side of the Lake..Re: CELL PHONE INTERNET ACCESSI have the HTC Droid Eris on Verizon and also use PDAnet for internet access while camping. As long as I have 3G coverage, I have quick internet. Your not really limited to any amount because I pay for UNLIMITED access. JulieRe: ~Post your campsite photos here~May 6-9 Mothers Day Weekend Doran Beach Regional Park, Bodega Bay, CA Our beachfront property for 4 days.. To the right was the Bodega Harbor Jetty..where we watched fishing boats and sailboats come and go all day long from our campsite.. Our campsite.. Sunrise.. Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Saz, congrats, great trailer!!! I would love to see the loft up close, can you post a photo thats larger? We shop at the same place! Happy Daze! We looked at the Tango's but went with an Outback, picked it up last month! Goodluck! Thanks I appreciate it! Makes it fun to share pics with others who are into camping. My co-worker has an outback and loves it. Yours is much nicer than his and yours is bigger. Just last month, that is great! How do you like your new electric jack? Mine is on the way and in the mail via ups now...cant wait to get it. Casini Ranch is the same place we have stayed a couple years back. We love camping in that area with the russian river and then head down to goat rock beach. Cool to see a local person on here. Man all we think about is camping...we'll have to plan a trip sometime soon with you guys. Our children are grown or we would have definitely gone with a bunkhouse, instead mom and dad went for the large bedroom, we needed head room also. We LOVE the electric jack! They should be standard on ALL trailers, this is our first TT our boat was a piece of cake, we had no idea how crazy it would be with a manual jack. All we think about is camping too! In fact a bit depressed that we aren't going out for 2 weeks still, we are fortunate to have the weather we have here in California. We will be in Red Bluff Thanksgiving weekend, Friday, Sat and Sunday at The Durango RV Resort, it looks as though others from this forum will also be there! Maybe you can join in! If not definitely Casini sometime!Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Very Nice Tango NORCALer!! We shop at the same place! Happy Daze!
