I would think its the sam for a Class ARe: Heating Underbelly of Fifth WheelOne year I did put 100W lamp with a heat shade in the basement to keep the holding tanks and potable water from freezing when i didn't winterize the MH. I can't tell you what temp the bays were but the tanks never froze. N6RGMRe: Class A to 26' TTThanks Ron I'm ordering a good WD hitch with sway system tonight. I am also downsizing the stuff I carry so that I do't overload the TT with un-needed things from the motorhome.Class A to 26' TTDownsizing from my class A to a TT because my style of camping has greatly changed and the Class A does not lend itself well to backcountry Idaho. I am new to TT section but not new to the open road forum. I had a great experience this weekend in Spokane at the RV show and purchased a Flagstaff 26' FKWS from RnR RV. They met me halfway with a deal we could both live with. I bought it on Friday and because their Airway Heights store is closed for the RV show and I wanted to tow it home on Saturday they had their Head Mechanic Scott service the trailer on Friday then meet me at 0800 Saturday morning for a 2.5 hour orientation to Flagstaff, we covered all systems outside and inside and re-winterized (much easier then my winnie) the trailer hooped up to my F350 checked the lights and brakes and I was on my way home. I was surprised at how easy this trailer pulls without a WD hitch, it pulled straight as a string with no sway @ 60 mph and I averaged 16 MPH with my 6.0 diesel. Overall a very pleasant experience I look forward to learning new things about TT camping on the forum and by real life experiences with my new TT. I have been RVing for about 12 years.Re: Auxillary power switchTry hold the aux battery switch in while turning the ignition to start. My winnebago works that way.Re: Total over all lengthIn Idaho the max length for Class A + trailer/boat 75' Truck + TT +boat 75' The most you are allowed to have behind the pulling vehicle is two other rigs for a total length of 75'Re: Inverter and generatorHi Frank First lets be clear do you really mean Volts or Watts. Most generators are rated in watts so I'm going to assume that is what you mean. What you need to do is figure how many watts you need for normal operation with the AC running then you can choose the correct generator or combination there of. I have a emerald 5000 and can run two AC and the microwave without problems.Re: liquid balanceBefore you go the route of liquid or beads, check out centramatics they work great, they have been used by truckers for years and are also designed for MHs.. http://www.centramatic.com/ I have them on my Harley and love them, they have increased my tire milage greatly and no tire vibration at speeds as high as 105 mphRe: Replacing Leaf SpringsI did mine myself removed the old spring had it re-arched and a leaf added to ensure it did not sag again. Keep in mind after you reinstall the spring and have everything tight drive the coach about 10 miles over some less then smooth road and then go back in and tighten all the bolts again.Re: Jacks getting sluggishSounds like your return valve is not opening all the way. Check the electrical connections at the valves.
