My 4000 did the same thing. I ended up having the fuel pump replaced twice under waranty.

I have never realy strapped anything down except for the four wheelers and motorcycles.Chairs and plastic containers seem to stay put on their own, and if they slide around a bit they don't have very far to move. Good luck with the new camper.
