After 2 years of head scratching trying to solve the issue, I finally struck gold . I believe the metal roof of the cab was flexing. My Mcgyver fix solved it immediately. I purchased a roll of Caulk Backer Rod at Home Depot for less than $5. I used a plastic ruler to shove it into the void between the cab and the bottom of the coach overhanging the Cab. I accessed this from outside the coach. Worked for me !Re: How much does your dealer location matter in a purchase?I really value having a good, well run, local dealership. This means that i'm willing to pay a premium to allow them to prosper and succeed. The question you are posing is how much is this worth. Only you can decide - but here is how I negotiated with my excellent local dealer. I showed him the pricing that I had received from a out of state dealer, and compared it to his "best price". I told him that I preferred to buy local, but the price difference was just too much for me to absorb. I suggested that we split the difference, and he agreed. I certainly felt good about how this turned out, and my local dealer gained a happy customer. In hindsight, I suspect that I could have played hardball, and twisted his arm to match the price, or at least come pretty close. My feeling is that a good deal is best described as a deal that was good for both parties. I'm confident that my dealer made a profit on my purchase, and good for him! I have the piece of mind that my local dealer is thriving, and available to me should I ever need service, or assistance.Re: Vintage Trailer storyThanks beemerphile1, I'm not savvy enough to do that myself. Next time I see one of my 5yr old grandkids, I will ask them for a few pointers! Haha.Vintage Trailer storyIf you have 5 minutes, check out this story about a early Trailer manufacturer that was located about 40 miles from me: http://www.wausaudailyherald.com/story/news/2016/08/01/wisconsin-made-vintage-campers-cool-again/87542362/Historic Route 66 w/Motorhome?We are planning to spend a few days at the Albequerque Balloon fest in October. Traveling from Wisconsin. We would like to travel via the historic Route 66, and are wondering if this is feasible in a 30' Motorhome? Has anybody done this recently? Suggestions appreciated!Re: Noise on Driver Side only while drivingHaha Dennis - you crack me up!Re: 30 Amp QuestionThanks for the quick reply's! I was pretty sure I knew the answer, but didn't want to be that guy who fried all of his electronics. Thanks again to all!30 Amp QuestionI have a question that will probably seem idiotic, but here goes. I am booked at a campsite that offers 50 amp service. My motorhome has a 30 amp plug-in. Can I use a 50 amp to 30 amp pigtail type device without worry? I see them for sale for approx $20 , but want to make sure that I am Ok doing this. Many Thanks.Re: Ford E-450 suspension upgrade suggestionsDesert Captain - here are the tire psi specs from Winnebago Re: Ford E-450 suspension upgrade suggestionsHarvard - is this what your looking fo?
