I notice that the front wheels of the van are not following the tow rig. They are skidding on turns. After two conversations she admits something may be wrong. This women is towing for the first time as she is recent widow. On her way from tx to WS. Spent a 1000 on body work and small stuff and now has 235,000 and still running strong. Gets 13 towing our 28 ft fiver and 20 empty. Best vehicle purchase I have ever made. Will likely be my last truck.Re: Rushmore to West YellowstoneUse a lower gear and do not pump breaks. Break hard to slow way down. Most people drive right through. I used to live in the bighorns as a timber cutter. There are lots of fishing and hiking to do without the crowds further west. I found an ice cave in tensleap canyon. 16 is a easy route. He gets 100 and fish and shrimp when we get home.Re: AlaskaTook my first trip in 14 to a remote lodge out of kodiak as I wanted fishing without the crowds. Was a great trip. Lots of fish, great place and food. Folks took a cruise once and did not like it, could not see much due to fog, including a trip to denali. Next trip will be more exploring this great land. Pm for the place on Kodiak.Re: Hiking trails in YellowstoneThe wind river wilderness in the Pinedale area has unsurpassed hiking without the crowds. Yellowstone is over rated. The snowies and the bighorns are both good.
