A modern v6 in a half ton shoud do the job if you stay with a truck within 5-7 years or so. Try and get a 6 speed auto in the flavor of truck you prefer. This means 09 or newer ford or gm. Not sure on the dodges.Re: Flogged to death but require info on tiresLT tire should provide you with a higher level of construction quality. Most important in my opinion is to have plenty of reserve capacity no matter what type or brand of tire you choose.Re: Whoa, how much to wash my rig again...???I own a mobile detailing business and although I don't do many rv's when I do them its $4 per ft measured by me for a wash and dry with no roof. Sounds like Im a little low:)Re: Silly Truck Trends lawnspecialties wrote: If this is you, I apologize. But I still think its downright silly. People go through phases with their vehicles. I can remember when stuff like curb feelers and those crown air filters on the back dash were the thing. I was never one to get into it too much but this one trend lately is just ridiculous. What's with the new look of taking your full size truck and having the rear lowered so much, it looks like you have a load of bricks in the bed? For the life of me, I have no idea why anyone would think this is appealing or even "cool". I mean really guys. Your headlights are shining up to the sky and I'm sure it takes away some of your view on the road. But I see this more and more every day. Can someone please elaborate? Probably just half ton RAM's with a weeks woth of groceries in the bed;)Re: Bunk House SafetyIkea has some nice bunk bed rails that slide over the outside portion of the bed.Re: Trailer wheel balancing question.I had tires balanced and noticed less vibration under some conditions. The tires were new replacements that I used unbalanced at first and there was definatly a benifit to having them balanced.Re: Wait... What?Well I'm heading to the Honda store on Monday;)Re: 2002 TahoeI had a 2000 yukon 5.3 with 3.73 rear and a 25'tt around 5k. It was a good match but that was about as big as i would go. Climbing long steep hills will tax it for sure. Keep an eye on the trans temp. You can use your smart phone and an app such as "torque" if it dosent have a guage.Re: F150 QuestionsYou have regular tow pkg and the ibc comes with many packages or could be ordered stand alone.Re: Have the Police stopped enforcing our traffic laws?Theres no doubt vehicles have improved performance and saftey of the past decades, its the peice of meat behind the wheel that has gotten worse at piloting over the years.
