I live in Kelowna and am heading to Saskatchewan this summer. Maybe I could stop there on the way or on the way home.Re: Fresh water tankNice schematic Old-Biscuit. Got any others?Re: Long drive for new TT!! wmoses wrote: I drove to pick up mine. That way I can camp nearby for a day or two (shakedown) and if there are any problems the selling dealer is right close by. Not all problems show up in the PDI. For that reason I will not have delivered any RV I buy from an out of town dealer, especially one that far away. My time is valuable also but it is better invested this way than running after service people when something goes wrong. X2Re: Replacing tank gauges.Check out these replacements. http://www.rvgauge.com/rv.htmRe: Warranty Support From Wholesale DealersI've purchased a couple of trailers from non-local dealers and have had no problem getting service. All in all the trailers really didn't have any major problems. The one that I purchased in Oregon, the city water fill check valve blew out when I tested it in my driveway. I took it to a local dealer and they fixed the problem quickly. Now I always turn off my pump when I'm going to be away from the trailer. Helps too if there's a leak somewhere and you're not around. You won't empty the tank into the trailer that way. The other trailer I bought in another province at a Boxing Week Blowout sale, had a couple issues with the brakes and slide. They were just poor electrical connections. I am an electrician and I was able to fix those myself. I feel if you are at all handy fixing things it's easier to fix the problem yourself if you can. It takes less time to diagnose the problem and fix it than take it to a dealer.Re: What Did You Do For Your Travel Trailer Recently?Last week I installed a Husky Brute Model HB4500R power jack, with 4,500 lb. capacity, 2-1/4? dia. with wireless remote, and SmartStop™. This week it's snowing. I'll have to wait to go camping. Next up: an awning for the slide. Will order one soon.Re: Equalizer hitch. where do you store when not in use? While camping hitch and bars go under the front of the trailer. Who's gonna run away with those in the night? Besides I think Campers are a bunch of honest people that respect other peoples property. While at home - sometimes in garage, sometimes in pass through storage.Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Hi all, Thanks for posting photos. It's always nice to see what others have. I just picked up a 2012 Shasta Revere 21FBS LE that I bought at a Boxing Week Blowout just after Christmas. I live in BC and purchased it in Saskatchewan while visiting at Christmas. The dealer stored it for me until the weather was better. I pulled it back to BC over the Yellowhead highway through Edmonton and Jasper etc. Total trip 1800 Km. There were a few problems with the unit but I parked it in my son's driveway and gave it the once over. On the trip I had no problems. I camped 8 nights in it. That includes 3 nights of "camping" in my son's driveway. Here's a few photos: Parked in the driveway. Notice the snow beside it. On the road - Williams Lake BC Camping at Dutch Lake, Clearwater, BC. Re: Photo Thread - Post a Photo of Your Truck Camper HereFirst trip with camper I bought in February. 2001 Northstar TC800 on a '09 F-150. Torklift tie-downs, Fastgun turnbuckles, Supersprings, Michelin LTX AT2 LT265/70R18 tires. Camper upgrades - 2 6 volt batteries, WFCO 8735 power converter, Fan-tastic Vent 5000, Bus Depot Ezy-awning. Not a real camping trip but a dry run 4 hours away in my Nephew's driveway. Everything worked great. Made a list of the many things I forgot.
