Look for one that uses alligator style battery connections not a cigeratte lighter plugRe: Mods to our new Freedom Express 192rbsLatest Change, A compact DVD player. Only about $40. Powered by USB which was already there. Wiring went behind Audio panel, so no drilling required. The DVD came with a RCA to 1/8 headset so I just used it in reverse to back feed TV audio to the speaker system. Still is when i drive my 92 corvetteRe: Mods to our new Freedom Express 192rbsNext up was Fixing the Cabinets. Why in the world is there a 20" tall cabinet over the sink with no shelf? I guess so I can build it out the way it works for us. After this is the two 30" tall ones by the door. Mods to our new Freedom Express 192rbsSo, like most of us, you like the floor plan but there are some things that you would have done differently. So we start modifying things. First up was adding the rear view camera. I saw a working display model of the Voyager system at CW and was not impressed. So I decided to do it my way. Wifi Camera and Monitor from Amazon. Custom Mount plate - 3D printed. Cut off voyager connector and splice in connector provided with camera. Monitor Custom Mount - 3D printed Re: WIFI Light SwitchIf you want to use only wifi, you would leave the switch on and put the controller wither before teh switch (better) or after it (likely easier). If you put it before the switch, you can have the controller on but the switch would still turn them on and off (as would wifi). After the switch, would work much the same, but turning the switch off would likely require turning on the switch and turning on by wifi (the controller would loose power and would either revert to it's default state or remember last state, realy depends on the internal design of the controller). All the controller is is a wifi controlled switch. So you are in effect putitng two sitches in series.Re: WIFI Light SwitchHave you considered using light controllers vs switches. There are LED controllers that go between the power source and the light fixture. Typically operate on 5-28v. The module would be powered by the 12v to the light fixture. So you can put it inline between the switch and the fixture. But you will need to use LED bulbs if you aren't already. Here's an example. Ignore thw power brick as the RV 12v system repalces it. LED controllersRe: FEMA will be purchasing RVsAgree with Dutch_12078 Way back when, a couple weeks after Katrina, we went looking for a 5th wheel to replace outr travel trailer. Went to alocal dealer near Mongtomery. walked in and said we wanted to look at some units. They told me they only had 5ers as the FEMA guy came buy that morning and bought all 160 travel trailers. They said we were free to look at whatever was left (5ers). But no one wanted to help us. They were too busy agruing about how to split the profits.Re: What kind of deals are out there? We just traded our 2009 fth wheel for a 2022 travel trailer. Trade offers were all over the place. We told the dealers we were looking at TT under 20ft 6K or less GVWR. None new for sure which model they would be negotiating. Offers were $4K, 6K and $8.5K. NADA retail was $12.5K so you can kind of see the ratios. The high offer was about 70% of NADA retail.Re: Apple MapsShould only be interstates, but could include major state highways if they are coded as such. I can tell you that even if I use avoid highways it will still route me on 4-lane state highways with 65 mph limits. It should also offer routes with highways as optional.
