Weren’t supposed to run them completely empty. I don’t know about today, but that was instructions back then. JimRe: Which Air Bags Are Best???I towed a 16.5 5er with a pinweight Of 3400#. with my 2013 Ram 3500 And didn’t need airbags. If you need airbags to tow that light of a weight. Something is wrong with your Dually. My 2016 came with OEM fear air assist...it autolevels the load, but no after market needed for your Dually for no more than you’re towing. If your 3500 is a SRW truck. it could STILL handle that light of a 5er. JimRe: Record high price for used 2018 Ram 2500?I wouldn’t trust whomever is selling it.. The 2500’s DONT come with the Aisin transmission. Only 3500’s and up have the Aisin. JimRe: How long is your rig...really?5er in my sig , inside dimensions are 36’ long.. from top of pin box to ladder, 37’ 5”. JimRe: Torqlift revolutionLast step is a little high on the MS.. Ron has a good fix. I like the Torklift steps with 5 steps because from top to bottom, or vice versa , all steps at decent height. JimRe: Torqlift revolution fj12ryder wrote: A simple drop down support on the OEM steps will work very similarly without a huge expenditure of green stuff. I changed out my OEM three step to a QuadraStep 4 step. Makes getting in so much easier. These tall trailers need 4 steps as OEM. Peggy didn't think they would make that much difference...until the first time she used them, instant convert. A little more to it than that. Once installed you can adjust top step height to where it’s easier to step in or out of the RV. It does have adjustable bottom leg supports that allow stability and adjust for uneven terrain. All aluminum and a quality built product. JimRe: Torqlift revolutionGot rid of the OEM steps on our MS. High first step. Wife had a hip replacement and I’d had a stroke with weak left leg. Installed the 5 Step Revolution Glow steps a little over a year ago. We love them. No issues. Adjustable step into the 5er on the top step and bottom step legs for stabilization. They also work great for our dog... Well worth it and I’d highly recommend them. JimRe: Cummins/ Achates Diesel noteven wrote: When will Cummins stop calling motors “engines”? Many years ago, if you talked about a “ motor”, you were talking more about AC or DC electric “motors. Engine meant an internal combustion enginegas or diesel powered engine. Maybe it’s regional, but early in College Engineering classes and in the USAF (circa 1969-75). If you called something a motor, it was either run off AC or DC. Engine meant gas or diesel fueled, or jet engine, all internal combustion engines. It was the way I was taught growing up and same in the Air Force and College. JimRe: Level Up problems retispcsi wrote: Had the same problem tried all the fixes. Lippert replaced mine under warranty. Replacement is the only permanent fix. Pretty much a fact for the DRV. It’s a heavy unit. My 36RSSB3, a 37’ over all length has a GVW of 19K. loaded to 18,250# with a pin of 4250#. Both front jacks replaced with higher rated more robust rams and no more problems. Jim
