All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Newmar qualityI had a Coachmen motorhome for 10 years. I traded "up" to a Newmar Bay Sport. What a mistake. In 4 years this Newmar has cost me three times the amount I put into the Coachmen in 10 years. Generator "board" needed to be replaced at 14 months, windshield shade died at 2 years ... awning dry rotted at 13 months, levelers needed repair at 13 months, all exterior storage compartment doors de-laminating after three years, can't count the amount of times the shower door handle falls off, 4 times cabanet doors dislocated from the hinges, and I could write a book about the problems with the Ford engine computer. We no longer look forward to going out as we wonder what will break next. And yes, I am going to trade this POS in on a CoachmenRe: RV Driver killed racing at NY RacetrackYou can't fix stupidRe: Running with airEvery time it's warm outRe: Be careful, Don't let this happen to youI bought truck ramps I use when going under the front end. They get the front end up high enough to work under, and have an added feeling of security.Re: Heat from engine cover blows hot air and burns my legsMy 2004 coachmen did the same thing...never could cure it I used a small 12 volt fan to blow the air and that helpedRe: What is the cheapest way to buy Mex Pesos?First time we went to Mexico we got Pesos No one there wanted them, they all wanted A US dollars. In fact some places did not know what the cost of things were in Pesos. Never bought them againRe: Broken Hitch No Help From GS RoadsideI've never had a bit of luck with GS ERS. After a flat tire in April where the person from GS ERS was completely clueless, I got Progressive Roadside. Hopefully I'll never have to find out how good or bad they are.Re: It's always somethingAccording to a friend of mine, once the Japanese start making RV's, American build ones will get much betterRe: HalibutI love grilled halibut. Usually salt and pepper and grill for about 4 minutes a side. Wife makes a great lemon vinaigrette to go with it.Re: Flat Tire/Interesting FactsGJAC I was driving on the flat (left-front) and never knew it. Finally someone pulled up alongside me and pointed it out. Subsequently, the inner wall of the tire was ruined.
