I've read quite a bit about Imperial Dam, and it seems like they have a pretty robust social network. I'm an introvert, and to be able to pick and choose when I want to socialize is great. Being an introvert and working in customer service positions pretending to love people for the last 30 years is pretty torturous!Imperial Dam LTVAI am going to head there for a short visit in 2 weeks (arrive around Oct 15) for about 4 or 5 days. Will buy the short term permit and likely stay in a tent (close to the toilet). The reason I am going is I plan to start full-timing next October with my trailer and winter at an LTVA (likely that one??). I want to check it out before I fully commit. Will anyone be in the area around then? I would love to meet up with some people and chat about LTVAs, full-timing, and whatever else. If time allows, I'd like to hit up Quartzsite also, so if anyone is around there and would like to meet up, let me know!Re: Please Help to find Eclipse spot in Oregon - Yes last minutehttps://totaleclipseofthemall.splashthat.com/ This is at the mall in my town, Albany. It seems they have spots left.Re: Who drives? Him or her? When I was married, I let my husband do all the driving and backing while I guided him. Now that I'm divorced, it's either me do it all, or no longer go camping, so here i am!Re: Single person - How difficult to do everything by yourself?Read this blog, it's a single woman traveling all over the US in her travel trailer. http://rvsueandcrew.net/Re: Comments re Ford F250 PlatinumI have one, a diesel, just got it around Christmas. Only towed with it twice, but ohmygoodness it's so nice! Both towing and just driving, it's a beautiful truck with tons of power.Re: Hwy 20 Sisters to Lebanon for a 40' motorhome towing.I believe it's a 55' restriction on that stretch of road, west of where 22 merges. I don't think it would be very fun with a large motor home, but it's doable.Re: Total Eclipse of the Sun will jam CG's!I live in the path of totality. They say Oregon is the best chance of being able to see it, as it almost never rains or gets cloudy in August.Re: Total solar eclipse over North Carolina Aug 21stI live in the path of totality, I'm excited to see it!Re: Crater LakeForecast calls for snow this weekend.
