They run what the manufacturer gives them. They attempt to test fairly as much as possible. No test is 100% apples to apples because trucks are different ie ex brake versus none. Weather changes etc. I think they do a pretty impressive job with the testing all things considered. Our 2014 295 rst has been good. Check the front cap for oxidation. Ours was painted under warranty. Also check bottom of slides as the darco fabrics would wear through. Also fixed under warranty. It is a good mid profile 5th. Small issues easily fixed. They all have them. Reaching the age it will need tires if they are oem. Check tire date code on sidewall. Good price I’d say. Just FYI these are not really a 4 season full time rated trailer. An Oregon coast winter sure. Tried all the buffing with multiple products (meguies rv kit) And orbital buffer . Was only temporary (lasted a few weeks) and tons of work. Went to poliglow with poli prep done first. Very happy. 2011 was the first of gen 5 duramax lml. the first year for def and cp4 fuel pump on duramax trucks. Also more horsepower torque and stronger frame for higher towing numbers. Yes there were some issues with some trucks have def heater issues and some cp4 pumps Grenaded taking fuel system at 10g plus to repair. Why not likely? Most any smartphone has a GPS receiver built in for doing just that. Also as mentioned apps like co pilot have complete maps when installed so no cell data is required as you go down the road. We had an odd thing happen last year on the July 4th weekend on Oregon Coast. Middle age Couple pulled in next to us in a really big site .with a long trailer pulled by an escalade and setup coolers full of booze, throwing games where our rig would be the backstop, chairs in a big circle, every sort of paraphernalia I've ever seen of patriotic Americana gadgetry- then started blasting patriotic mix tapes (ie Neil diamond - coming to America!!). This was all setup by 2pm. We thought they seem to be pros and are getting ready for a massive blow out gathering and we will not be sleeping tonight and may need to leave. We went for a walk and came back an hour later and everything was put away, music off, coolers under rig, chairs folded, games gone etc. They had retreated into their trailer not to be seen again. We left as scheduled next day and decided that was a bullet dodged and no more camping on the 4th weekend or first weekend in Canada.432Views0likes0CommentsRe: Cleaning Question
I’ve always used a wash brush that has a built in extension pole and stand in truck bed place a damp rag to put wax on then dry microfibre to take off. Up on roof to get last bit by hand. Cap looks new after 6 years. Easy work. Do sides same way from ground. Using chemical guys jet wax and very happy. Bugs come off cap with wet cloth. Same brush and pole.764Views0likes0Comments
