All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Southside RV Park Tucson, AZI'm not sure the cost as we are here on a 3 month rate but Voyager has a nice park with a whole section of transient sites. We're just off I-10 at the Kolb Road exit. My guess is more than $30/night though.Re: Kelleys island ohioDo you have a toad? We have relatives that live in Sandusky and when visiting we stay in Crystal Rock campground. It's pretty easy to drive to just about anywhere from there. We stayed in Camp Sandusky once and it was tight and extremely smoky from buring wet wood. We drove by the KOA but it's WAY too close to the entrance of Cedar Point and getting in and out of there during the day looked like a chore, that we weren't willing to take on. Go to Tofts to get ice cream!!!Re: Using EZ Pass while towingIf you go to FL (or have a SunPass) don't think you're ever going to see the refund for getting tagged by both passes. I was towing the car with a sunpass and went over the skyway bridge 2x. Called them a few times before giving up (*it was only a dollar anyway) "we have to check the video" just means "Don't pass go, you're not getting your money back" You can go on the SunPass site and inactivate a tag and re-activate when needed. Not sure if the same holds true for EZPass. We have an Ohio EZPass on the RV only and just move it to the car if needed.Re: Four Down or Car DollyThat was a dilemma that we toiled over when we bought our RV. The final decision really came down to my wife saying "You know, whatever the weather; cold, hot, rain, shine getting the car onto a tow-dolly is at best a 15-20 minute process. Do you really want to do that ever time we need to pack and move" We can pull the car up behind the RV, hook up the tow equipment and be gone in less than 5 minutes 4-down.Re: I-77 campgroundWe're passing through WV and plan to stop at the Cabela's for an overnight in Charleston. We've already called to be sure that they have an RV lot (most do). Won't have water and electric though and since we're only overnighting one night between camps we'll be fine without it.Re: Ocala/Orlando overnight stopI just drove I-75 from Brooksville South today. At the 275 Mile marker (thereabouts) is an extremely large rest area where you might find a spot to overnight. There were some empty spots at 8:30 this evening on the Southbound side but I’m not sure how that fills up in the later night.Re: Ohio Lake View CampgroundsCheck Geneva State Park up on Lake Erie. Otherwise there is a park that’s attached to Cedar Point that’s on the lake. You’re going to pay a hefty premium to use it. I’m not sure what RV parks are on the smaller lakes in the state. I know there are a few out by Lake Pymatuming and one or two on the Berlin Resovoir near Youngstown.Re: Ocala/Orlando overnight stopI can’t help much because I live in the area and would just park in my. Driveway that late at night but I would stay away from the Orlando area if at all possible. There aren’t many boondocking options here and the construction is terrible. Not sure if you were on the turnpike if one of the rest areas would accommodate you but that’s not going to solve your power need.Re: Looking for Technology Cabinet IdeasMy "technology cabinet" consists of a Weboost booster, Pepwave Surf on the Go router and my cellular modem. All will function off 12V (the reason I chose the pepwave) so I don't necessarily have to be hooked to power, a specific convertered plug or running the generator to use them. I work full time in the RV and just don't like to use the laptop monitor so I do have a 24" monitor, keyboard and mouse that I use. I have the laptop sitting off to the side. I carry a small bin of extra cables but go with the attitude that I can get whatever I need in 2 days from Amazon and/or "there's always a walmart".Re: Cleveland Ohio CampingJust throwing out there but there is a scout camp (Stigwandish) out in Madison, OH? It’s about 35 minutes East of Cleveland just off I-90. Around the corner (about 1.5 miles away) is a KOA (Madison-Thompson) that is pretty nice. It’s a little closer to Cleveland than Geneva on the Lake (Geneva State Park). There are a couple Kenisee parks out a but further east in Austinburg and Jefferson.
