Worst case, we'll head to the lake and chill out for a couple of days.Festival camping?Anyone know of a good craft festival that has good music within the next couple of months. I would like to have the camper in the park or within walking distance. Maybe a town festival? I'm looking for a getaway for me and my wife. Kind of needs to be within 8 hrs of Texarkana.Re: Beach getaway optionsLooks like Ft Pickens it is!!!! Are most of the water side sites in loop A close to the Gulf and have walk paths to it?Re: Beach getaway options LynnandCarol wrote: No beachfront site 20 ft wide is worth 185.00 a nite. It is a pretty place but way to pricey for us. Do you get a deed with that price??? Really, $185!!!! Walmart parking lot is looking mighty good.Re: Beach getaway options MdMike1007 wrote: Campgulf.com nicest place I know of on the Gulf. Sights right on the beach! Is that the one where you're stacked together like cord wood in Destin?Beach getaway optionsI'm looking for a long weekend beach destination around October around Gulf Shores or Destin. Top Sail is very nice but I really want a spot on the beach if possible. I'm leaning towards hitting Gulfs Shores for the National Shrimp Festival (stayed at the State Park last time) and while it was nice, it wasn't on the beach. Any idea where we need to go? We will be leaving the kids at home to fend for themselves and this will be a needed mom and dad getaway.Re: Campground search @ Jackson TNThanks for the replies. I'll give Joy-O a call and see they have anything.Re: Goose Neck to 5th WheelThere are other companies beside B&W that offer the "companion" style hitch if your's isn't a B&W. I have a welded GN plate on my truck and would have gone with the companion style had I known there were other options other than B&W but did the Anderson GN conversion and have been happy with it, but if your trailer is heavy, I'd stick to the fifth wheel.Campground search @ Jackson TNThere will be 4-5 of us in our group headed to Mammoth Cave and will need a half way point to rest which is @ Jackson TN. I've looked at KOA but they are over $40 a night which seems kind of steep. Any other nice places between Memphis and Nashville on I-40? Really just need electric.Re: Post your tow vehicle pics hereHere's mine ready to work.
