Yours should too. A really great system. Nice to have an empty bed quickly when you need it. JT.Re: Surge Protectors or not??But it did jump and take out the converter, led lights in the entertainment slide, and the EMS. It also knocked off the main breaker in a he camper, and the breaker on the pedestal. So, it may have come through the 110 circuit also. The EMS may not have done diddly-squat, but to me having it is just like having insurance.Re: Surge Protectors or not??Geez, didn't want to start WW3, just happy my Montana didn't burn down! The Progresive is advertised to handle up to a lightning strike, and we got one. I don't know if it did or did not help, but it has also cut power before in low voltage, and a new one has already been installed. I don't think the guys in the shop are 'lectric engineers, but I do trust their work.Re: Surge Protectors or not??Another Progressive HW-50 tale. Three weeks ago while we were camp hosting @ Cumberland Mtn. State Park in Crossville, Tn., there was one lightning strike that hit the campground during a storm. It struck two trees about 80' from our camper, dug a ditch through the ground about 30' to our satellite coax, then into the camper. It took out our TV, satellite coax, satellite box, 3 led lights, the converter, and my EMS. Needless to say, our hosting job ended two weeks prematurely. The mechanics in the shop think that the Progressive unit probably saved the camper. JTRe: Bird nest up on the side of King Pin!!!!I have had this problem in the past, and now just stuff foam rubber inside and leave it. JTRe: Fifth wheel hitch problem - uncouplingI also have a Husky 16K. It is the slide bar type, and if you aren't high-hitched, it seems to be nearly impossible to come loose. The key is always take your time, don't be distracted, visually check, and always perform a pull test. This definitely doesn't mean that I won't eventually drop my fiver, but I hope it makes it less likely.Re: Residential RefrigeratorWe have just one long trip, 12hrs to Panama City, FL, on our residential fridge in our Montana 3611RL and it worked great. Can`t help you with the boondocking part of the question. We also have two 12v. batteries. JT.Re: 5th wheeler bumper rackThe ones I saw at the RV show mounted to the frame rails by bolts "pinching" the brackets on each side of the rail. JT.Re: 5th wheeler bumper rackI've been looking at this one - http://store.lci1.com/flip-down-bike-rack Looks like good support without stressing the bumper. JT.
