Central FL has much more and not nearly the riff raff that you find in the valley. Like someone else said, maybe you'd be better off renting a little. Maybe try other warm climates also. Not everyone is alike... I take offence to the riff raff statement. We spent 2 years in Florida before coming to the RVG and found the people there not as friendly and somewhat snobs. To each his own......if we all went to the same place, it would be very crowded.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosWe have a free standing dinning table with storage under it. There was nothing but wall space on both sides. Got 2 wood medicine cabinets, turned them upside down and mounted next to table. We now have two shelves behind doors where we keep our can goods and two shelves on top. Added a lot of extra space for us.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosDon't tell me we have covered all the hints and gadgets? I am always looking for new ideas, let's keep them coming in.Re: The Next Exit and Exit NowNext Exit Now is a must have. Mine is a 2009 and was hoping to get a new one this year. Sorry to hear they are not in publication. What am I going to do now? Sure hope you get on the band wagon and get a new one out, you would have some happy campers.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosOne of my favorite hints.............sew a extra length onto the end of your flat sheet, they stay tucked in. Some RV mattress hang over the end of the platform. This extra length is a big help. I even have done this to my sheets at home.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosWe got the Rand McNally Tripmaker 7710. RV friendly. Haven't had a chance to use it yet. Holding up in the RGV in TX.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosSeeing as this thread has been going since 2006, don't you think it should get a sticky. Six years is a very long time for a post to live. I know people can do a search for it or save it to "my forums", but what about the people who are new to RV.net? Don't you think they should have a chance to read it. I know when I first started on here,I don't think I would of did a search for this topic. I found it because it was here.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosokRe: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosPutting the hangers backwards, means the hook of hanger is put on rod from the back side of rod instead of from the front. And it does work.Re: Handy Hints, Gadgets, Products & GizmosMy favorite one is when top sheet seems to short, sew a piece to bottom of it so it will tuck in. I even do this with my sheets in house. Makes it easier and I use an old top sheet and cut it off and sew to bottom of new ones. With RV beds and some of the hang overs, the top sheets has to tuck under quite a ways.
