But one time last year we needed to go a bit further to get our water supply and so we used our good hose plus the cheap hose we got with the camper trailer when we bought it. The water tasted like rubber... undrinkable. Smells and tastes bad. Ever since then, it's like the good hose and the trailer plumbing has this bad taste impregnated into it. Tastes fine at the outlet, has some taste at the end of the hose, has terrible taste once through the trailer. It's been at least half a dozen uses now and shows no sign of diminishing or flushing through over time. Suggestions?Re: Winter Prep for TT WoodGlue wrote: X2 on what SWD said. You're going to want to keep the moisture down, I'd suggest getting a couple of tubs of DampRid (and a couple of refills too) and set them around inside the trailer. You can get DampRid at Walmark! WoodGlue WoodGlue, do you know if DampRid can be used where temperatures are routinely below freezing? Do you use it in that sort of climate?Winter Prep for TTSince a search for "Winter" yields 13,000 + posts and another for "Winter Prep" doesn't give what I'm looking for, I'll post a request for info... but if posts already exist somewhere else, please feel free to redirect me there instead!! We live in NB, Canada and need to start thinking about prepping the TT for the winter. I'd prefer to do it myself and store the trailer on my own property. We have a Hybrid TT and this will be its first winter. Any suggestions on what needs to be done to prepare it for winter, and to protect it from the elements would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure many of you have done it so often, you could do it with your eyes closed!! Thanks.Re: Coat hooksI hung coat hooks in our trailer. The center walls in ours have 1"x1" wooden studs and the outer use metal studs. I used a wooden strip, painted to match, that spanned several studs to anchor them in. Then I attached the coat hooks to that. Works great... Even installed some eye-bolts down low to secure stuff during transport the same way.Re: Transmission Temperature - 2009 T&CWell I think we're good. Transmission Temp was 150-175 normal driving and only hit 190 after 10 minutes of steep up hills. Feeling pretty good about that.Re: Transmission Temperature - 2009 T&CI wish I'd gone that route now. Would have been cheaper in the long run!Re: Transmission Temperature - 2009 T&Cib516, when you plug the scan gauge in, does it not put the computer in a sort of diagnostic mode? I thought that was part of the problem with using those sorts of systems to monitor performance... the vehicle doesn't enter a "normal" condition.Transmission Temperature - 2009 T&CI just installed a transmission temperature gauge in our T&C to monitor the temp during towing. But I have no idea what a normal temperature should be. Is it influenced by ambient conditions? What should the "red-line" be before we pull over and let it cool down? Any input, or suggestions of where to find answers would be helpful!Wind deflector for vanHas anyone had any success with a wind deflector on a van? I would think it would help reduce the effective frontal area and even help some with fuel economy. But I don't see any threads on here about it already.Re: Hybrid Seasonal Tips/Tricks?Good info! I was going to ask the same question!
