To me, it is two boxes in one. It will play AM, FM, WX, CD's, USB, Aux, and iPhone (I think) through three stereo channels/zones. It will also output DVD's via HDMI to a TV or a true multichannel AVR. An AVR will give you 5.1 surround. I chose it as I wanted a DVD player without adding a standalone unit. This unit was a direct replacement for the CD unit that came with my TT so it was entirely plug 'n play. I like it.Re: Photo program for Windows 8Paint.net FREE http://www.getpaint.net/Re: Verizon Navigation and Data usageCo-pilot is definitely an option. I think cheaper than TT too. my only complaint is the voice is pretty mechanical sounding. TT sounds more human. There is also Route 66 and some others. I've been with TT for so long I'm not switching.Re: TomTomn VIA 1605 M RVI never talk GPS brands. Like politics and religion.Re: Verizon Navigation and Data usageI've just weened myself from my TomTom stand-alone and gone to their USA Android app. Not cheap but I have thousands of POI's in their OV2 format that are compatible. I also now enter the addresses for appointments into DigiCal. A "Location" icon appears by the appointment that when I can click will then autoload it into TomTom (or other app with and Intent). TomTom is picky about how the address must be formatted. Google Search used to do that too but now it will only use Google Nav. Yelp will autoload to TT and other apps. With TomTom, Co-pilot and others, your maps are on board. Take about 2gb of storage.Re: Apple Announces CarPlaySeems like a big mistake to me. Being an Android guy I would not by an Apple car and I imagine that is true the other way. No way I'd buy into something that was incompatible with the rest of my stuff.Re: DirecTv question between house and MHI'd pin the installer down on which Trav'ler he is installing. I think you would want a Trav'ler SWM rather than a non-SWM 3005. A 3005 is not compatible with your HR-44 without an additional gizmo and $. Are your clients Wi-Fi? If so, you won't need additional cable although to me wire is always better.Re: Satellite Antenna modificationsLots of setup and time-savers at TV4RV.com. Many you can DIY. Often easier to buy from him rather than scour the web.Re: TV stopped working, fuse blown?I've dealt with two of these. I just de-solder and remove them and then replace them with a fuse holder and a new fuse. What is strange is you observed nothing when it happened. I knew exactly what DW did when mine blew. Might not be the fuse but that is easily tested.Re: DirecTV SWM3 Slimline Dish on Tripod--How Hard Is It to Aim?+4 for TV4RV.com HD Combo Kit. I use my phone and a SatLook Lite which is on sale for $180 @ SolidSignal. Powers SWM and positively IDs the 101. Align-a-Site is also helpful. Not hard at all after a few times.
