We also have run 3 axle watertenders over that road without pilot cars. As with all discussions about roads and what you would drive over this or that, it is all in how comfortable you are with your skills. Slow and easy wins the race, it is a beautiful drive. Watch the east side for military traffic at times.Re: Must Have Been A Beer or 12 InvolvedFunny how those states with seat belt laws don't worry about school buses, municipal buses, and tour bus passengers being belted in.......?Re: Any Idea How to Get the Bulb Out of This Light?Any pics of the light?Re: Wickenberg..Kris, there are 2 places I know of in Wickenberg. Across from the rodeo grounds is a city owned dry camp area that runs 5 or 10 bucks a night. You can get from there all the way to Crown King, Hassayampa River, Constellation Road, Lake Pleasant,Bradshaw Mtns. And south of town about 10 miles is a state lands area on Gates Road. Turn off is west of the highway and near the big wash. Easy access for the RV. Morristown is across the highway to the east. You can ride alot out of there any direction you want to point it. You can not ride the wash all the way back in to Wickenberg though. There is also the road going out to Lake Pleasant from there at Morristown. Some dry camping out that way, but quite a ways out.Re: Destination near Las Vegas for weekend OHV, and SnowI'd check St. George, Cedar City,or Beaver, UT. That's within your mileage and there are mountains with snow on them. All of UT is pretty OHV friendly. Check out atvutah.com for good info and to ask questions.Re: Death Valley suggestions early January2-4" snow forecast for the desert regions on Tues. Even if Death Valley doesn't get the snow, I'll bet it is a bit chilly and brisk :)Re: South from Jackpot, NV to Las Vegas, NV on 93Jackpot to Wells I-80, Wells to Panoche and Caliente has a couple of passes that may have some light snow, but should be worked if there is. If you are traveling at night, be cautious. They don't usually plow at night. Cell is intermitant as it normally is in the far outback. Other than that, good road.FYI CamperI noticed today there is a Northland Polar Slide 990 that will need some repairs listed for bid on govliquidators.com located in Colorado. Looked like it could be had on the cheap as a project for one of the folks on this site. I have no interest in this, just thought it might intrigue someone.Re: Mojave Road Trip PlanningLots of places with deep sand or, mud if a recent rain. One spot has Joshua Trees pretty tight along the road. A majority of the route is in the Mojave River Wash on the west end. In the preserve itself, they have closed the original route, and bumped you out to utility right of ways. But it is still fun to do.Re: How to reduce generator noise?Don't know if you can access your metal gen box, mine I could by taking the plywood cover underneath the bed off. I bought 1" foam board and used construction adhesive and tightly fit and glued it on the outside of the box on all sides. The compartment door is screened, and the bottom of the cabinet is open also, so air flow was not impeded. I also noticed the stick bed framing contacted the box, and I raised it up enough to eliminate that contact. I got better than a 50% reduction in noise and vibration. Cost 10 bucks. This was an Onan 4000 micro quiet in a Jayco T24Z.
