If so, can you (or maybe already have) share your installation? I'm putting in two new AGM batteries and think solar would be the way to go to keep them charged up since I don't spend much time camping with hook-ups. Checking out the roof, looks like I would have room for two 24x48 panels between the roof vent and air conditioner shroud. Hi, I have a 2012 PW Excel and you can't really put solar on the roof easily but I did purchase a Renogy 100 watt suitcase and absolutely love it. I can easily stay for a few days somewhere no problem. You can also hook up another 100W to suitcase unit. I asked at Renogy. Easy to set up and take down. I am very happy with my purchase.Re: Considering a Class BHi - I have a Pleasureway Excel TS and am very happy with my purchase. They are expensive, you are right but the downside is that they are very hard to find second hand. I looked for 2 years before I found mine. As I am getting ready to be retired and will be traveling solo with a dog, it was very important to me that I didn't have to haul, could park anywhere, a little better gas mileage and a quality build. The Pleasureway fit the bill and has served my purposes very well for 2 years. I have had nothing and I mean nothing go wrong with it during those 2 years. As for size, if you are traveling on your own, they are a perfect size. I have a medium size dog and I think we fit in just perfectly. I have traveled with a friend and I think for 2 people it would be less comfortable. Hope you find what you are looking for,Re: Glacier National and Banff louiskathy wrote: ULTRAGOLFER wrote: We are planning a trip from Michigan to Glacier National Park and Banff after Labor day. Looking for places to stay and any helpful tips We have a class a with tod After Labor Day quite a few things close up for the season. Don't be surprised if you have snow... might not come down to the valley floor but Going-To-The-Sun highway might get some on it. I prefer the east side. We stayed here. Johnsons is a Good Sam cg How long are you planning to stay... are you interested in hiking info? Huh, I live in Calgary and prime camping starts after Labour Day, the parks are slower, quieter and much more enjoyable when August is over. Best time to come. You have a good month to enjoy the campgrounds.Re: Vomiting bile in the morningMy dog used to do that too. She is a rescue I got from Mexico and it usually happened on an empty stomach in the morning. I changed her eating routine which was non-existent to morning and evening before bed and it hasn't happened since.Re: CanaDream Has Anyone Purchased From Them Elizabeth24 wrote: Looking to purchase a B Class Anyone out there had any experience with this Rental Company when purchasing a former rental unit. Not looking for opinions on buying rental units in general only those who have purchased from CanaDream. Hi - I bought a used rental unit from Canadream and I am very happy with my purchase. From start to finish, they have been excellent. I am getting a hitch and awning this year and their pricing is excellent. Originally my thoughts were that the rental units were badly treated but if you think about it, only people with money can rent from them. No smoking, dogs or anything of that nature and they are cleaned spotless after every time out. The damage deposit is high so people take care of them so they don't lose the deposit. All of the service records are given to you upon purchase so you know exactly how many miles the unit put on during a trip, how many trips the unit went out on, what repairs were done when the unit came back. You would NEVER get the information from a private sale. My unit only went on about 9 trips and because I live in Calgary it is mostly Europeans doing the Calgary-Vancouver trip and back. My unit was in perfect condition when I picked it up and still is and I am a very particular person. Canadream are great to deal with and when I needed to winterizing last year, the guy helped me over the phone so I could do by myself. I would highly recommend Canadream. If you want anymore info, just let me know. LynnRe: Notice for Canadian Drivers Jim Shoe wrote: This may be more about Canada's version of Medicare. Back in the late eighties, my parents were RVers and camped near Cape Canaveral one spring-summer. When I visited them (I was still working then) almost everyone else in the CG was from Canada to get an operation of some sort. I remember the Canadians saying that there was a two or three year waiting list for what Canada considered elective surgery. The Canadian man parked next to my parents didn't think having to use crutches was "Elective". Who comes up with these ridiculous stories?Re: Best Cell Phone Company for travel in CanadaTelus works all across Canada so I think is a good choice. I travel for work and there are only sporatic spots that don't have coverage usually in the country. They have now just offered a prepay program that is fairly reasonable.Re: Costs that go away, costs that stayI think if you can keep your house and rent it out, you will be much further ahead in the long run. No one is capable of predicting the future but real estate is still a very viable investment. You can always rent a room or a floor if you need to make extra money. If you have equity, continue to let it grow. I am sorry but I think selling your house to buy an RV does not make good financial sense. Depeciation is very real. UNLESS your house is strangling you financially and it is not feasible to keep up your payments easily. It would be ideal if you could rent it out for a year or so and then re-evaluate after you have been on the road for a while. Let someone else make your payments if that is at all possible.
