Had a similar problem last fall and this spring,lights kept dimming. Converter finally died and after I put a new one in no more problem.

stiebel-eltron-electric-fan-wall-heater-1500w-w-120vac Hard wired to fuse box. Works great. Have had it for awhile no problem.
