Beginning to think that OP should focus on private campgrounds as State Parks are likely going to be difficult/impossible to use. Just to wrap this up, DW just had a dental issue that will keep us around home through most of September. That and our similar experience making reservations has led us to move the trip to next year. Thanks to all for the advice.Re: Oregon Coast in SeptemberThanks to all. A lot of food for thought which is what we like about having forums like this.Re: Oregon Coast in SeptemberState Parks just opened up a month ago and are only taking reservations 30 days in advance. Good news is that they aren't filled up months in advance like they usually are. Less good is that I can't make September reservations for another couple of weeks.Oregon Coast in SeptemberWe're planning a first time trip up the Oregon Coast after Labor Day. Planning on 3 to 4 day stops at each of the following: Brookings/Gold Beach (Harris Beach SP), Bandon (Bullard's Beach SP), Depoe Bay, and Cannon Beach. We have no agenda other than to relax and take in the sights. We do plan on a jet boat ride up the Rogue, otherwise we're open. Would appreciate any "Must See or Do" on the way. Like I said, this trip is to relax so I'm not looking for a long list of things, just ones that, in your opinion, shouldn't be missed.Re: Winnemucca to Klamath Falls on 140Thanks to all of you. I hadn't thought about fuel so I appreciate the reminder. We're good for 300 miles on a tank but I'll make it a point to top off at Denio and Lakeview.Winnemucca to Klamath Falls on 140Planning a trip from Salt Lake City to Brookings on the Oregon Coast in September. Route planners suggest taking NV/OR 140 from Winnemucca to Klamath Falls and Grants Pass. I've not driven 140 before. Pulling a 30'travel trailer. Any issues to be aware of? I'm in no hurry.Re: Yellowstone Bridge BayFinally got through to the rez center. The answer was that all vehicles must fit in the space. There are a few forty foot spaces but most are 30' or smaller. There is no external parking for the truck.Re: Yellowstone Bridge BayThanks to all. I have tried calling them for three days. Busy signal non-stop.Yellowstone Bridge BayI was making an online reservation for a 30 foot space at Bridge Bay campground. One of the screens asks the length of my trailer and length of my truck. Then says that the COMBINED length cannot exceed 30 feet and that if I show up, I may not be allowed to use the site. Can that be true? Or is there someplace in the campground to park the truck?Re: UT Old Hwy 91It's been a year since I took this route but I don't recall it being anything but an easy drive. It's certainly an much easier grade than going through Virgin Gorge.
