I stumbled on Bemis 500EC 006 in bone for $16 on Amazon...YES $16 It came yesterday and installed....PERFECT WOOD TOILET SEAT FOR ROUND TOILET. If you are having the same problems with the plastic hinge breaking take a look at the Bemis 500EC... We are very happy and back to normal...Re: Great experience with Roadside AssistanceUpdate: Shop said front driveline failed. New one should be in by Monday 6-8/Tuesday 6-9. Quoted approx $900 parts and labor. Hopefully, after install and road test that will fix the problem. Transmissions for the Jeep range from $1450 to almost $5k Jeep Dealer. Researched drivelines...those ranged from $200 to $1000(Mopar) for just the part.Great experience with Roadside AssistanceToday while traveling 45 miles to pick up pharmacy drugs from our home our Jeep had a loud bang and we lost power in either the transmission or transfer case. About 1130am. My wife coasted off to the shoulder on Highway 4 in Stanislaus County east of Farmington. Dug out my RA card and called the toll free number....The lady on the other end was very professional and got us through the gauntlet of questions. She then left us for a few minutes to search the nearest transmission shop. The shop I wanted (past experience) was 10-15 miles farther so I paid the extra $40 dollars and waited. We received updated texts with mapping. Then the tow truck arrived before the text asking if they made contact. So all in all we were on our way by 12:55pm just over an hour from our original call to watching our Jeep go away on the slide bed. Our son showed up a few minutes later with our Suburban to use to go on to Modesto. We got to the shop just as they were unloading. The counter person at the shop even said she got a call from Good Sam verifying the tow was delivered. So long story short, we have had GS road service for a number of years, several years ago had a lockout. Again good response. I see negative reviews and my wife and I were anxious about today's event but GS was great in our instance.... Waiting for tomorrow to hear what the damages are.....Re: Good Sam roadside failed us again!!!!Did anyone else read the OP has had two tire failures on a 2002 vehicle? 16 years old, how old are the tires? The second failure, you would think the tire shop would have looked at tire conditions all the way around and manufacture dates? Seems odd...:?Just renewed RA for 2 years til 8-29-2021Wow...Marcus needs to fire some people. I just receive 4 mailings from Good Sam Roadside assistance. I renewed as a Platinum member and received my 2 membership cards. But also in the mail were 3 other envelopes containing Basic Membership with literature and 2 cards in each envelope. What a waste of material. I guess they could't get it right 3 times and 4 time was the charm. We really enjoy "The Profit"... Wonder if there was much profit left after 3 bogus mailings and the 4th correct?Re: Avoid dark?We like our silver, grey and black stripes. Lots of brown back when we purchased. Our previous class A gas coach Holiday Rambler Vacationer was white on top and light green bottom.Re: Amish cooling unit installedJuly 30th, 2018 update: Still doing great, set at 5 on the control. Freezer at 5 degrees and refrig at 35 on propane or elect....on 6 I can get to 0 degrees and 30 in refrig. We had an issue with losing propane over the last weekend dry camping at night twice once at 1030pm and again at 200am...(no flame) Again on the way home Sunday...(no flame) Did my due diligence research. I have a Norcold service manual and parts manual downloaded for 1200 LRIM. Research said either the sensor electrode or the computer board. So for $15 on eBay delivered I ordered the part and installed it. And so far over the last several days, I believe that was the problem. The unit is a 2003 so I figured after replacing the cooling unit last summer, this part could be bad. After removing the old part, the service says clean burner and orifice, did that. Next check electrode, the metal part is suppose to be tight. It would move and finally fell apart in my hand. The wires inside the ceramic seemed burnt. One thing I want to pass along to other Norcold 1200 owners is: To test LP...turn your unit to "AU", it will select AC (shore power) and then outside at the compartment, unplug the AC cord and watch the LP fire. The sparker should stop clicking immediately when the burner ignites. Also if the burner stops after lighting, this also signifies a sparker or board problem. Stupid me. Previous I would turn the Norcold on LP and then like a fool run out, down the steps and outside to view the LP ignition..LOL So just unplug the AC at the unit outside and you can view the ignition.... Again...we could not go with Residential because of dimensions in the slide out... Very happy with the Amish unit from RV Cooling Warehouse....Re: First time happeningI'm perfect. I always check all bay doors before moving locked and loaded. I know I'm perfect because underway my wife keeps asking..."Did you check the doors".."Can you see the doors" "Are any doors open".... :pRe: Thoughts of this dealers policy on possible purchase. Didn’t quite follow you, are you saying that means it could be a good buy? I'm saying be prepared to spend money. Not necessarily a good buy... You are dealing with a house and car...there will be something that is not apparent and will need attention. Units are not even perfect from the factory new. I read on the forum once, everytime out on a trip, you will fix something or have to repair something....this is true for the most part...but wouldn't trade memories for anything...Re: Thoughts of this dealers policy on possible purchase.17 years old and 100k....You will never find a Car, Pickup, RV, without some issues...
