Based on your suggestions, we camped at Happy Holiday and enjoyed our stay. We backed right up to a stream and the sound was wonderful. We didn't use the bath house or pool, but all the property seemed well maintained. WiFi was slow or almost nonexistent, and we didn't have service on our phones (TMobile). I'm glad you suggested Happy Holiday. Although we didn't really tour other campgrounds, I think Happy Holiday is one of the best. The location is convenient. We really enjoyed Rafter J although did get a surprise one night when the water was turned off while I was in the shower in our camper. It was end of Sept and they were afraid temp would drop and pipes freeze, We later learned a notification had been posted in the office or store. We've decided to take a quick trip to Cherokee. Called River Valley and since last minute couldn't get reservations but was assured they would have availability for full hook up when we get there. We hope to travel to Lancaster in October. We'd like to make Lancaster our base camp and take day trips from there going to Hershey and Gettysburg. Also to Philadelphia if possible . Are there bus tours we might could use to take us to Philadelphia? We will be traveling from Birmingham, AL. Any suggestions or advice would be very much appreciated.2.3KViews0likes12Comments
