MrVan wrote: RandACampin wrote: You should have fully checked out the camper BEFORE you bought it. Instead the title being "victim of a dishonest seller" it should read "I'm a victim of myself". You have no one to blame in this matter but yourself. Thanks for the advice! Re: Rear slider stickingi know yous is different since my KZ has a patent design and also a TT but here is what i did..on our 2005 KZ 2505. our rear slide out was sticking just before full slide out position. i smoothed the rails out with steel wool and WD40 to remove surface rust and also used penetrating oil on the roller wheels.. slid it back and fourth a few times and blew the wheels out with compressed air... it did the trick..i thought about using some type of greese on the wheels and rails but i think dirt and grime would be more of a problem.. i just routinly clean and inspect them.Re: For the Ford fanswhen it was released it was only offered in the top of the line trim level..i havent since looked since i was interested in it before i realized it was almost 50k.. its a smart move if they are offering it in other trim levels. alot of folks like myself dont like leather and the other needless (to me) options... my current truck, 2011 F150 is a great truck but its an XLT trim level with the tech & towing package. i am considering a new truck when mine is paid in a year...another F150 is almost a sure thing. im curious to see a 2015 in person. Tradesmen Quad Cab 2WD $35k MSRP, so sounds like $25k transaction price to me at half ton pickup discount levels in Metro Detroit. Re: For the Ford fansthe Ram 3.0 diesel only comes in the top of the line 1500 pickup starting at 48k..... WHY?????? Ford offers thier motors with about every trim level... smart business. not everyone needs leather, heated seats, wood grain etc.... ford knows this.Re: Anyone upgrade their interior and exterior speakers?i upgraded our 4 interior speakers from 4 inch single cone to 6.5 inch 3 way's made by Scosche. not high end by any means but they sound a million times better and mounting depth was perfect. i painted the removable grills white to match my cieling and they look great also. got the 4 speakers at walmart for $60 plus tax. im also upgrading the stereo/CD player to a car stereo/cd/dvd unit with an LCD screen and bluetooth. im also going to install a 100w x4 channel amp along with two 32 inch LCD TV's connected to the new head unit and a new HDTV antenna.. here are the speakers http://www.scosche.com/car-audio/speakers/hd-speakers-6-5-6-75-setRe: delamination issueim repairing delamination on my TT. there is really no way of knowing how bad it is until you get in there.. if the outer fiberglass is delaminated from the core then more than likely the thin wood backing between the outer skin and foam core has rotted away. this was the case with mine. my only option was to remove all the damage and build a frame in the affected area from treated studs and then fill the openings back up with the apropriate thickness of rigid foam and adhesive. you also want to bond all the tems back together as well as possible using clamps and boards holding pressure on both sides until cured. mine doenst look perfect and still has some small ripples in the skin.. its really strong thoughRe: mildew oderwhen repairing my water damage i used a combo of white vinegar, water and pet odor enzyme solution..i put it in a garden pump sprayer and sprayed everything. i have zero off smell and with the new subfloor, insulation etc it smells like a new camper.Re: Florida Electronic title problemsReplied! Thanks for the info! A title transfer in Florida is very simple, the seller signs the title as the seller and hands it over to the buyer who is then responsible for transferring it and registering the vehicle (no notary required and the seller does not have to be present at the transfer). Since the lienholder probably had the Title in Florida it was the responsibility of them and the seller to get that lien placed by USAA satisfied with the State of Florida. USAA screwed it up and you have a beef with Florida DMV? I don't like the DMV but in this case USAA and the seller are the parties at fault. Considering the background on this deal you will likely never to get the seller to turn it over. You may need legal assistance.
