This apparently was due to complaints from county residents of not being able to reserve sites during the winter months, because of the extended stay "snowbirds" The result was a raising of the basic camping fees by 200% now being $48. per day for a water and electric site. If you want full hookups, or a water view, you pay a premium fee on top of the daily fee! Also, the length of stay has been dropped from 169 days to 90 days. All in all, this seems a bit excessive and I am a County Resident!. If I am going to have to pay a premium to get a full hookup site, I might as well go to a private campground and have more amenities! Bandaid When is this supposed to go into effect? The website is still showing lower rates for residents... Wickham Park Campground RatesRe: "Maybe 550 is not so bad, after all . . . "Scary!Re: Black tank stench won't go awayDitto on checking that the black tank roof vent isn't blocked or the pipe from the blank tank to the roof somehow became dislodged. If that vent is blocked every time you flush the toilet the built up gas in the tank will vent into the RV. Cleaning the tank will only solve the issue until the next time someone takes a dump.Re: NorCal Fridge wont run on ACI don't think the fact the interior frig light comes on means you're getting AC. If you don't keep it plugged remove the batteries and put them somewhere where it doesn't get extremely cold. A good full charged battery will stay full charged as long as there is no load on it.Re: Are other drivers killing your RV experience?I live on LI, NY so to go anywhere you have to deal with it.
