Compared to what? It is $40K less than Sprinter-based C's. I have seen a lot of Sprinter-based C's but none that even approached $130,000. Lots of quality C's out there for less than $90,000 that have far more capability and features than the trend. IMHO: If the Trend was selling for around $50K I think they would move like hotcakes but with its smalls size and numerous limitations $90K is a joke. :C I've been shopping the Minnie Winnie 22R and the Trend 23L. The Trend 23L is often quoted on RV Trader at $79k and I've seen it as low as $74k. In the 6 weeks I've been looking the price has been dropping. It looked like Winnebago couldn't make them fast enough for the demand at first and the price was high. Now the price is definitely dropping. If it were in the low $60's we would be buying the 23L instead of the Minnie Winnie 22R. As it is, the $22k price deference would take us a little over 12 years to pay for itself assuming the E350 gets 9MPG and the Trend gets 15. Re: OCCC, GVWR and GCWR questions on Winnie Minnie 22RThanks all, that is super helpful. The RV sales guy I'm working with thought all tanks were empty so when I added 55 gallons of gas, LP, water, etc that was over 1000# right there. What you are saying makes much more sense and leaves us with plenty of weight for gear. Beverly and Ken where do I find that information on Winnebago's site?OCCC, GVWR and GCWR questions on Winnie Minnie 22RDoes the OCCC (in this case 2187) assume full tanks or empty? If the OCCC is 2187 and the GVWR is 11,500 does that mean this MH weighs 9313 pounds? Then, the GCWR shows 13,000/18,500. Why two numbers and what are they telling me? Thanks in advance. I really appreciate this forum helping me make an informed choice. TTRe: HWH Hydraulic JacksIs HWH considered a good brand?Re: No spare tire with rim? Thanks all. We are about to buy the Winnie Minnie 22r. I think it makes sense to buy the rim and tire and find an after market jack? Or, we are going to buy Hydralic levelers, is there enough control of those to raise the height enough to change a tire?No spare tire with rim?Are MH's completely dependent on AAA or similar service for a flat tire? The dealer is saying he can add a spare tire with rim for $450 but that I won't have a jack to handle the exchange myself. What are you doing? Thanks, TTHWH Hydraulic JacksDealer is quoting me $6k. What have other people spent to get them installed? Thanks, TTRe: Forest River Sunseeker/Forester ownersThanks j-d. That is really helpful. SkiMore, as the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. Those pictures made it perfectly clear what an endcap is and why I need it.Re: Winnebago Trend - First Drive ImpressionsThanks Iceman, that is valuable info. Would you be willing to expand upon what problems you had with your Trend? I'm concerned with the Ram Promaster chassis on the Trend. Has Fiat workmanship gotten better? Should I be worried?Re: Forest River Sunseeker/Forester ownersUnfortunately, the Chevy chassis is 24'4" vs the Ford 23'10" so the Chevy chassis is out. The Chevy Chassis is also several thousand dollars cheaper which would be nice. Where did you see that the Ford Chassis is the E350? I had assumed it was the E450 because of the 55 gallon fuel capacity. I thought the E350 only had a 40 gallon capacity. But looking through their information I can't find where they state exactly what it is. From comparing the Sunseeker 2250LE Ford to the Forester 2251LE Ford, they are exactly the same. Maybe the paint is different? If someone wouldn't mind answering what these features do: Generator auto transfer switch - The LE doesn't have this Fiberglass front cap - It's an option, no idea what it is Aluminum running boards Then, it doesn't look like it comes with a spare tire. Is that possible? I don't even see it as an option. Thanks for all the help, we really appreciate it. TT
