I rarely use the tank and pump and almost always,99.9% of the time, connected at the city water connection. I used my camper this weekend and was connected to city water and my water pressure was very low and kept dropping to a trickle. The pressure at the campground was freat and I do not use a pressure regulator, just a straight hose connection. I went and investigated and found the check valve seemed to be sitting crooked and possibly deformed. I straightened it out as much as I could without tools and the water pressure seemed a little better but still not great. I know a faulty valve can cause a leak when using the pump but could this valve be causing the low pressure when using the city water connection?Re: Is it just me?I am glad to see I am not alone. I guess I just need more practice and different methods with a short trailerIs it just me?I have a 34 ft. TT and I could easily back that trailer into a parking spot at the mall on black Friday but yesterday and this morning I borrowed a friends 5×8 utility trailer and I could not back that trailer up to save my life. I looked like a total cluster at the loading dock, I almost pinched my truck (multiple times). And the guys waiting were definitely not happy. So is it just me? Any advice so it does not happen again?Re: Low voltage problemsI should add the owner is looking into the problem. I am not sure what they will be willing to repair at this time.Low voltage problemsI have a seasonal site and I have been having low voltage problems. I have a PI hard wired surge protector with the digital display. When nothing is turned on I have 112 volts. I checked with a multimeter at the pedestal and the pedestal next to me and we both have 112 volts. 112 volts would be ok if it would stay consistent. The problem happens when I turn anything on. The minute I turn the electric water heater on the surge protector reads 107 volts. Turn on something else it drops a couple more volts. Try to turn on a third item and an the voltage drops below 104 and the surge protector shuts things down. The last two mornings I turned just the coffee pot on and the voltage dropped below 104. I am not sure what is actually happening, At other campgrounds I have been able to run everything including the AC in triple digit heat without ever having any trouble. I have 30 amp service for my tt and never go over the amperage. The digital meter on the surge protector measures incoming voltage so I assume it is the campground wiring. Could I have developed a problem with my tt that is causing the problem?Re: Black tank handle is hard to reachI wish I had a pic but my tt is over an hour away at camp. The handle is back on the 3 inch pipe behind two smaller gray tank drain lines and is pointed at an angle to the ground. I have to reach under the smaller line just to get enough room to pull the handle. They definitely were not thinking convenient when they installed this handle.Black tank handle is hard to reachI have a 2014 Springdale 282 BH. The black tank handle and valve are so far under the trailer that I need to get on my hands and knees to reach to handle. The fittings in the area make it impossible to move forward. Any ideas on how to make the handle easier to reach?Re: How long will refrigerator stay cold when in travel?Freeze all the meat and milk before you go it should thaw on the trip.
