The downside is the space the combo takes up, but we love the convenience of not having to save our quarters and blocking out time to head to the laundromat every few days.Re: Rear tire pressure duallyI keep my front tires at 65psi and my rear tires at 80psi.Battery ChargingYesterday went out to new unit to show it off to some friends. Unfortunately, we had forgot to engage the battery disconnect switches and both batteries were dead. If I plug unit into a 110 outlet, will this charge up batteries over time or do I need to go to the trouble of removing batteries and recharging them with a battery charger?Re: 5th wheel w/ bunk & 1.5 baths & 2 A/C'sNot sure what you mean by "older", but we just bought a Heartland Landmark Newport 365 which meets your specifications.Re: omg!!!!!!!!Ah yes. I feel his frustrations. Boy do I!Re: Looking for newer RV; How to calculate weightChuck - In September 2013 we bought a 2014 Redwood 36RL. We just traded it in on a 2015 Landmark Newport. Our time with the Redwood wasn't a pleasant one. It was in the shop more than on the road and when we were living in it, there was always numerous warranty issues that we were having to deal with. We took a beating on the trade-in, but we had lost all confidence in the Redwood unit. We're hoping the Landmark will go better for us, if it doesn't, we're just going to quit RVing all together. Good Luck!Re: tailgater portable sat..Based on when I had one, you need a totally clear sky to the southerly direction. No leaves, twigs or even the threat of rain. After 3 yrs of grief, finally threw my tailgate in a dumpster. What a glorious day that was!!Re: Power Protection..Why So Few Have If Really Needed?I think price could be an issue. Those surge protectors are upwards of $500. Made me think twice before I bought oneRe: Fifth wheel choices...help!I've always been told...."go with the Floorplan that suits you best".Re: Gas milage for a diesel / gas engineI have a 1 ton diesel Dodge Ram Dualie. Towing my 39ft 5ver I get around 10-12 mpg. I've seen it as high as 15 mpg and as low as 8.5 mpg. There's a of factor's to consider too. Such as weather and road conditions. If you have a stiff head wind, you're mileage will be lower. A tailwind may make it higher, as an example. This has been my experience anyway.
