It makes aiming the antenna a breeze and seems to work very well bringing in stations from quite a distance away. It does not play well, however, with our cable service at our winter location in Florida. The cable channels come in weak and broken up on many channels. We just use the antenna there now as most of the broadcast stations in the Tampa area are HD and the cable system at the campground is not. Barney I had the same problem. Have you switched it over to cable or better yet powered it down while on cable?Re: Am I getting too much trailer??I can't believe you ran into a sales person who would suggest that whatever your TV was, it was good enough to pull anything they were selling you.;):) We did extensive research at RV lots and shows for several months before we bought ours and only had one sales person out of what must have been dozens tell me I didn't have enough truck for their camper. Bottom line is, you likely won't be happy with the experience of towing too much with too little. Good luck!Re: Do you ever wonder what's up with floorplans?Agreed, there are lots of floor plans that stink! That's why you should spend lots of time at the RV shows or dealer lots before you buy.Re: Newbie to tt -- looking to buy--and confused! Lol!Rent different types a few times then decide and buy!Re: Camping pet peeve RGar974417 wrote: I'd like to know when and where all you people go to find all these problems. My wife and I usually camp in spring and fall.Go in on a Sunday and leave on a Thursday. We don't camp on Holiday weekends.By doing these things we avoid most of the problems that everyone seems to find. That's exactly how we camp. So you guys are the annoying people next to us.;)Re: Check Your Marker LightsI'd put my money on 3M 4000 UV.Re: Any Drawbacks to Using Circuit Breaker instead of Fuse? There I was in the auto parts store looking for a 40 amp fuse to replace my main and they didn't have anything bigger than 35 amp. A six pack was going for $3.99. Got to looking around and noticed a 40 amp circuit breaker for $3.69 and that's what I bought and installed. I can understand the argument not to use a breaker based on "what happens if it keeps resetting when you aren’t there" (even if I don't agree with it as a problem) but to not use one based on price? Really?Re: TT: Maintenance bls8195 wrote: I only really ask because I live in my travel trailer full time for the moment and have a extended warranty and if ever an issue I don't want them to deny my claim, although I hope I don't ever have an issue. I know they said make sure AC area is always clean and behind the fridge there is a panel that needs to be cleaned out and things like that. But I was always told the ac's on the TT don't really need to be serviced unless out of Freon. Not sure how true that statement is. You may want to check on how your extended warranty is with regards to living in it "full time".Re: Was I miss informedI think there are much better sealers like 3M 4000 UV. IMO Silicone deteriorates and mildews too quickly and I wouldn't use it.
