It looks like I am reading different options. I'm not wanting to spend any more money than necessary to accomplish my modest goals. Could you please link me to exactly what I need?Re: Battery charger, solar, converter, help pleaseThanks for your responses thus far. Perhaps I can give you a descriptions of how I have been running it, and also an idea of the loads, to provide more context. My current method involves one deep cycle 114Ah battery, a Champion 2kW gen, and a Schumacher 12A charger. When I turn on the gen, I connect the Schumacher charger, and charge the battery. My 12V load consists of several RV led lights, an 12v led exterior flood light, radio, small water pump, and usb charger for cell phone. My 120V load consist of TV, Blu-Ray, toaster oven, air conditioner, and ceramic heater. I'm currently looking for a safe gas heater to all me to not have to use the electric heater in the winter (which is when the cabin in mostly used.) I would also appreciate help on this. I was thinking about order this solar/charger: link This is the converter/charger I am looking at, the 12A version: linkBattery charger, solar, converter, help pleaseI have a cabin that is off the grid. I want to leverage a deep cycle battery and have it charged via solar and a generator. When the generator is on I want it to recharge the battery and run the 12v lights and other accessories. I would also like the solar to auto switch off when the gen is turned on. What all exactly do I need to buy?Help me: External marine tank on Champion 2000 watt gen.I'm wanting to use a marine tank I have as an aux tank. Does the gen create enough vacuum to suck the fuel out of the marine tank sense marine tanks pull fuel from the bottom. I've read the tank has to be elevated over the gen to let gravity do its thing, therefore I'm unsure if the "pulling of the gas from the bottom of the marine tank" would work. I remember seeing pics and info from someone who modified a fuel cap on the gen to connect to the fuel tank. If someone could link me to that I would be appreciative. Thanks!Capacitor for complete electrical system not just air?I know there are hard start capacitors for air conditioners, but my question is are there solutions for the entire electrical system. IE: a capacitor which would provide surge current for any load on the system (microwave, AC, or anything else)?Re: How long can you keep water in tank? What is the process for sanitizing the water system? How long can you keep water in tank? How long can you keep fresh water in your tank? I would think at some point-in-time, with all the stagnant water, bacteria and other harmful things could grow.Re: Hurts Gen or AC when stumbling to start AC in ECO mode? MrWizard wrote: if the shore cord is plugged into the generater , then there are other loads besides the A/C converter, and maybe the fridge or the WH I've tried it just with the AC and it still does it. Again though, this is only in ECO mode. Regular mode it does just fine.Re: Hurts Gen or AC when stumbling to start AC in ECO mode? Its a Frigidaire 5k BTU one if that helps. I hope the generator isn't a dud. Seems to run well.
