Larger payload w 350.Re: New Ford F-250 Lariat IdaD wrote: Any gas or diesel SRW HD truck would be a great match for that small of a fifth wheel. Pick your poison and go camping. If you're trying to contain cost you could skip the high trim and most of the extra goodies on your list. My preference is to put money towards performance items and skip most of the fluff. I would spring for diesel, 4wd, spray in liner and enough options to get some basic comfort features like AC, bluetuth hands-free, keyless, etc. Drop from the Lariat down to an XL or XLT (or equivalent if GM/Ram). I just went through this. I got rid of all the extras. I dropped to XLT trim. I have 2 cameras for tailgate and the cab. I have the locker only cause it was on the truck. It also had the 10000lb rating and truck camper package. I went 6.7 diesel. I love this truck. All the other stuff is for drivers that are not driving. The new fords are also so sick looking. Yes. It cost a penny or two. I agree with IdaD. ArtRe: Question about solar panel specsat least a 100W panel will top off grp 24, 27 usually with mostly sunny day. Did it over and over with my pop up.Re: Best place to Fish...RV? Western USFlyfishing? Boondocking? My fav place to hide is Lassen National Park at Manzanita campground. Float tube the lake. You have Hat creek and the Pit River close by as well. I have more if you flyfish. ArtRe: Am I missing something....Ford crew cab rear seat?No room really anyway. I love the new flip up flip down seats. Actually love the new truck. Drive better drive quieter and no loud Diesel engine either. However the pricing is getting ridiculous. ArtRe: CG recommendations / Northern CaliforniaBrannan can get super windy so don't leave awning out......Re: Increasing battery capacityI am switching to 6v batteries also. I have a question along the lines of the small 12v inverter for the tv. How much power does the HD Tv antenna take up while running the tv? Could I watch 2hrs of tv before bed without crushing my batteries? I will have a method to recharge next day. ThanksRe: Has anybody used RV Trip Wizard?you know what i don't like about the Sams Club one is that there are no dates? I have been using RVPARKY because it has dates and the campground selection is much larger than Sams Club as well. just one man's opinion....... art
