I have the same set up and agree.... I use both equally but if I only had one it would be my BS.Re: 50 > 30 > 20 ampThanks!50 > 30 > 20 ampCan you adapt from 50 amp (on a class A) to 30 to 20 to power just the refrigerator preparing for a trip. It will be a short run and a 12 ga extension cord. A buddy of mine asked and I initially thought yes, but I'm not sure. Thanks....Re: I-70 vs I-80 road condition, which is better.I've always picked I-80 if possible, but I'm sure there are others here with much more experience than me. I'm guessing 400 miles is empty, no trailer, no tool boxes or ladder racks to mess up the aerodynamics, not in four wheel drive off road, and no heat, AC, lights, wipers, defroster, etc. being used. What's the range when loaded with 1,500 pounds of tools and supplies while towing a skid loader on a trailer at night in a snow storm. That's how I seem to end up using my trucks. Do they do that with gas half tons? Do they need to? Isn't there a gas station virtually everywhere? Sure. But that’s just infrastructure. And that’s just a matter of time. Getting pretty good in the places where we travel. And I’m willing to bet there will be a lot less gas stations in 10 years than there is right now. Jmho. Now it takes me about 5 minutes to add another 400 miles of range. I'm not sure electric will be there in my lifetime.... Meh. Depends how you travel. We always stop every few hours for a bio break, lunch etc. We just charge when we are stopped. Our travel day is no longer now than when we did the same trips with a grand Cherokee. The charging thing isn’t an issue for us. Meh, most people don't want to stop every two hours and set for a while. You're a pretty small sample set.....Re: GM announces their Electric Silverado half ton. My vents point to the rear and I have Maxx covers that face the rear, so no problems. When I'm parked at home and turn the refrig on a couple of days before heading out, I make sure and let the vent fan run to keep the interior temp down and help the refrigerator.
