if you are concerned about it leaking I would suggest covering the glass with something and spraying some auto body undercoating over the rubberized seal making the water repel more easily so it will flow away from the skylight.
I don't know if this would work or not but maybe you can use a folding plastic room divider. on a metal tub door track with a magnet or hook to hold it shut.
