I had a 2004 gmc 2500 6.0 gas engine that was horrible so I put a tuner on it and cold air intake and true duals and it still sucked. My experience tells me leave a base engine alone if you want to go longer between stops buy a diesel.Re: First Time Buyer...Updated 03/06/2006I have owned a travel trailer for 3 years now. I just got back from a 2800 mile journey with my family of 4 me my wife and 2 great little girls who road in the back of my truck great. We left Pennsylvania and went to wichita and back. This trip made me realize I want a motor home so the kids can move around and I can drive. We want to do a trip like this every year at first I was thinking a fithwheel but I am considering a motorhome Is there any models to look for with a family of 4 I don't need a lot of frills just storage. I am going to have to buy used because of price point I would like to stay under 70K. Please any help would be appreciated. Thanks
