Vans can be about the same price as pick ups but a box limits load dimensions and often have noisier interiors due to the thin metal walls. Passenger vans, well all those seat can get in the way. It's worth stating that in Europe (where I grew up), people pull TT's with sedans or station wagons all the time. See few doing that here in USA.Re: 2015 Silverado opinionsBought 2014 1500 Silverado V8 2wd Double Cab with Stnd Bed last year (same as 2015) and it has been a dream. Comfortable and tows great on 500 mile run. Get 20" wheels for better ride when towing (but get locking wheel nuts as they are popular theft item). Ford feels more cheaply made, Tundra can be expensive due to import parts. We opted for Silverado due to price and good experience with previous Chevy V8. Can get between 20 - 25 mpg easy (8-13 mpg under load / towing 8000 lb trailer.Re: You know it's been too long since you went camping when...... you forget you have a travel trailer and trade in your Dodge Ram for a Prius.Re: Internet Total UsageIf using a router many have utilities to track usage.Re: Evasive Maneuvers when towingWhen people pass my +40' rig on a two lane, I let off the throttle as soon as they are passing my seat and cover the brake. If they start to move in too early I am ready to slow and get distance between me and them.Re: Bumper mount grillYou did not state if this was a new or used trailer. If new, the dealer should correct this, otherwise go to Aussie Grills website for replacement parts.Re: campground recomendation- BransonWe stayed at the Table Rock State Park. Plenty of full hook ups (you can book online too). You are ten minutes from civilization. Far enough to not have to worry about your security, close enough you can pick up a Chinese and still eat it hot. Five minutes more and you are in among all the shows. Table Rock has walking trails and is really peaceful and staying in the State Park helps keep those green zones for so our kids can enjoy them.Re: chocking wide spread axlesWe just bought a pair of One Chock XL wheel chocks for our spread axles. First time used and trailer was more stable than ever and weathered severe thunderstorms near OK/TX border with 80mph straight line winds. Did not move an inch (though it rocked the trailer a bit). Worth the money and they are quick to install (takes about ten minutes to adjust for first use) and remove in seconds. Will never use anything else again.
