I bought the stabilizer from our dealer and it totally cured the problem. VicRe: I Might Be Back - Been a Long Long Time! ? For You!Jeri, We downsized from a 40ft DP to a 17ft ultra lite TT and just love it !! Like you said, we don't spend all that much time inside and it's cheap enough that if it sits for a few weeks or months, who cares. It's there when we want it. Go for it !! VicRe: I Might Be Back - Been a Long Long Time! ? For You!I don't think it's a matter of how often you use it, but more of the enjoyment you get out of it when you do. Sometimes our TT will sit in the yard for weeks on end, but there are times we will book a weekend at the spur of the moment. Just having it and knowing it's at the ready is enjoyment in itself for us. Our payment is cheep enough that if it has to sit for a month or two without being used, it wont break the bank. We get so much enjoyment when we do use it that I feel it's well worth having it. VicRe: FAO Tornado-Fearing, Black-and-white thinkers. dwayneb236 wrote: RV replaceable, my wife, not so much.. X-2 At that point I would care less about the RV. I have insurance for that.Re: FAO Tornado-Fearing, Black-and-white thinkers.I would always have a backup plan when going into that type of climate ahead of time. Have a safe spot picked out that you could get to quickly in the event of a problem.Re: Rain, Rain, RainWhen we were both healthy it didn't matter to us and we always went rain or shine, but back in Oct my wife suffered a major heart attack and stroke. She is in a wheelchair now and it's harder for me to get her around. I'm getting older and have health issues now myself. So now we try not to go if we know it's going to be crappy all weekend. VicRe: Rain, Rain, RainMaybe I should explain that rain usually will not totally stop us from going, but when the forecast is calling for rain the whole weekend, than we think twice about it. When we had a MH we didn't mind going, but having a TT now and getting older with health issues, I guess we have kind of turned into fair weather campers lol. It sucks setting up and tearing down in the pouring rain, been there/ done that way to many times to mention lol. You can just call me a camping ***** lol. VicRe: Rain, Rain, RainWe were going for a 3 day weekend this Thursday, but decided to cancel and wait till next week. Local weather is calling for rain starting Thurs afternoon and on and off showers right through the weekend. We only have a small 17ft TT , and it gets cramped very quickly when we're stuck inside for 2-3 days lol. VicRe: Camping near King's Island or Hershey Park Recommendations? We've stayed at Highmeadow camp ground many times and enjoyed it. It's just a stones throw from the park, and is a nice clean and well run park. VicRe: Those dreaded black streaks ? LarryJM wrote: trickyvic3 wrote: Hi All, Anyone have a cure for the dreaded black streaks that always seem to grow overnight ? I use the black streak remover and it works well, but the first time it rains their back with a vengeance. Just wondering if any of you have found a secret to keep them at bay? Vic In one word RAINKAP ... that will solve 99% of any black streaks and help in preventing/minimizing any potential leaks from anything below the roof and on the sides of the trailer. I haven't washed my roof in close to 5 years and get none of the black streaks I got before installing the RAINKAP. Larry Larry, Whats RAINKAP? Can you give more info please? Thanks Vic
