Then my older motorhome south for the last 4 years pulling a car which was ok. At least everything went in the same direction when it got squirrelly:) Would like a little better towing experience than in the past. I have two choices. Rent a 24' (5000lb) and pull it 1/2 ton or rent a 3/4- 1 ton truck and pull the 37' with it.Re: Pulling Long Travel Trailer to GlacierAppreciate all the commentsRe: Pulling Long Travel Trailer to GlacierComing from the east and Staying at the ST Mary KOA which I think is outside the park. Thanks for the info. Hate to drive it all the way there and not get to the campground I reserved.Re: Pulling Long Travel Trailer to GlacierI'm staying at the St Mary's KOA on the east side in a pull through site.Re: Pulling Long Travel Trailer to GlacierEnterprise Truck RentalPulling Long Travel Trailer to GlacierI am planning on a trip to Glacier National Park. I have been through many variations of Rv-ing, but have a question to people who have pulled long distances with travel trailers. I currently have a 2020 Jayco 34rsbs which is about 37 feet long. Dry weight 8860 gvwr 11250. I've pulled trailers before with 1/2 tons, but for this trip I'm renting a 1 ton Diesel. If I decide to do this trip with this rv I want it to be the best driving experience possible. For you long trailer owners what is your experience?Re: What is the most efficient way to bypass Chicago?Depends where in Wisconsin you are coming from. The rockford route works out well. If you are closer to the lake in Wisconsin and going south 294 around Chicago and then the 80/90 east route.Re: Campground recommendations for the FL panhandlePanama city beach rv resort. Not a lot of trees, but big sites clean and close to the beach. Always Top Sail and Henderson beach. Both state park which will have more of the camping feel. Check out the 30A area east of Destin. Watercolor, Rosemary Beach ect.Full Circle back to TTWell made it back to the TT forum after a few year of traveling with a class A. Loved traveling with the class A, Best way to travel in my opinion. One thing about the RV life style is you can always change your mind. Met some great people on the road and we still get together. Now spend a little extra time at our seasonal with our new Jayco 34rsbs We may be back on the road in the future, but right now a little relaxing in our vibrating and heated recliners! Something seems wrong about that.... Stay safe and enjoy everything you do!Re: Price to expect if a RV dealer buys my coachAs was stated earlier. Take the low retail and 80% of that will be close to what you will get from a dealer. That's if you are getting a good price on the other coach.
