Are these the screws that attack the lower trim to the trailer? I can turn a screwdriver and wrench, and already tried that before taking it in the first time. Whatever they’re going into, an interior beam I suppose, seems to be stripped, as they won’t even tighten down. The edge of the slide begins to separate from the exterior wall on that side. I want to get it fixed because I could see that leaking and causing water damage issues down the road, and I think it should be covered under warranty since I notified them of the problem before the warranty expired.TT Warranty questionWanted to see if I could get everyone’s opinion on my current warranty situation. I took my trailer in a couple of weeks ago for some warranty work. A couple of minor issues and what could potentially be a larger issue of the screws being so loose on one side of the slide that they are backing out of the exterior and are less than finger tight. Dealer says everything is fixed under warranty, so I go and pick it up. Fast forward to now, and I’ve just returned from a camping trip and discovered that the issue with the slide screws was not fixed at all. Turns out that they replaced some interior screws, and did nothing to the exterior screws. The problem is that my warranty expired within this two week window, and dealer says there is no way it will be covered even though the issue was identified before the expiration period. Is this accurate or should I try and contact Forest River on my own to see what can be done? Thanks for the help!Re: winterizingAgree with the other posts here. I’ve got a 2019 Wildwood also, so my setup is just like this. Both valves should turn 1/4 turn clockwise. I just did mine tonight, and they were fairly tight as well. No pliers needed though, just held the valve with one hand while twisting with the other. Good luck!Re: CO/LP Detector FaultTest/mute does not clear the signal, so definitely sounding like a voltage issue. Didn’t have time to check it this morning because I had to leave for work. I’m hoping it will have cleared when I get home today after the battery has charged. Thanks for the replies!CO/LP Detector FaultHeading out tomorrow on a long weekend trip, and ran into an issue this morning. Plugged in my trailer to get the fridge cold for food, and the CO/LP detector started beeping. It is flashing between red and green, which shows to be a Fault of some kind. The trailer is a 2019 Wildwood that we bought over the summer, so the detector shouldn’t be out of date. I didn’t have time to check voltages, but what else could be causing this? We will be running the furnace on our trip, so will have to have a working detector. Any quick things I can try before heading out?Re: Winterize ( heart attack ) please helpDon’t forget about draining the hot water heater as well. If they pumped in the pink stuff, I’m hoping they used the hot water heater bypass if you have one.Re: First time running furnace - smoke alarmThanks everyone! Good to know this is normal. Will give it another try tomorrow.First time running furnace - smoke alarmPlanning on heading camping this weekend, and the weather will be cool enough that we will need to run the furnace. We bought our trailer over the summer, so we’ve never turned it on before. Went out this evening to make sure it was working properly, and within a couple minutes, the smoke alarm started going off. Didn’t really notice any smoke in the air, but the furnace was definitely blowing hot. Turned the furnace off. Aired out the camper, then tried again. Same result...smoke alarm went off after a couple of minutes. Is this normal when burning off the newness of the furnace?Re: Bunkhouse recommendations Camping with beasts wrote: You probably should look for a bunkroom. Usually that means a qb in the model #. We just went from a mh to a 282qbxl from wildwood its lite 7400 gvwr. I couldn't find anything shorter that had 3 or 4 bunks and a separate master room. Good luck I haven't taken my qb out yet (next weekend) so I can't do a real review We bought this exact model about two months ago. We’ve really enjoyed it so far. The bunk room has a pocket door, so the kids can have their own room. Also, the master has sliding doors, so you can close it off as well if you need to. We liked that much better than the options we saw where the bunks and/or master were just open to the living area all the time.
