The 1161 rarely comes off the truck and has been garaged when not in use which is not often. As far as insulation with this set up not sure because have always used it this way. When we winter travel I usually put the carpet in, have stayed warm in 0* weather.Re: Lance 1161 Side Entrance - Your opinionsWe have a 2004 1161 bought new, 150,000 miles 18 months of full timing and no complaints. At times it seems small other times it is to big. Have had small issues with it over the years that I was able to take care of myself. It has been a wonderful camper for my Wife and I.Re: Outrigger removal ??I had to have injectors replaced in Tucson a few years ago, had to take the camper off at a campground while the truck was being repaired in town. Another time while in Florida we wanted to spend a few days at Tortugas National park there was no spot to park the truck and camper in Key West so we dropped the camper at at a campground. Our camper seldom leaves the truck but these two situations the jacks helped move the day along easily.Re: Big Bend in late FebWe were in Cottonwood last mid February with one other camper.Re: Replacing that big rubber seal on a slide outI did a temperary fix on mine about 10 years ago using super glue while we were in Yellowstone, still holding strong after many uses. I check it often no sign of failure.Re: ToastCamp toast, butter cast iron pan brown toast. also makes a great way to make garlic toast.Re: 2014, redo, foam in Dinnette CushionsThanks Sleepy, I to will be doing the refit to my 1161. I also was having the same comfort issue, with your tutorial issue will be taken care of. PhancyRe: New 2015 Lance 1172 Arrived!!!Curious if the door is useable with the rear slide out in the in position. I have read the specs and e mailed Lance and have not have gotten an answer. ThanksRe: Another battery questionThanks for the information. I have 2 batteries in the battery compartment of the camper, i had to remove the drawer tray, I have 2more in the wheel well front drivers side and possibly put 2 more in the rear wheel well. With what I have just read I may take the t 125s out, buy 2 more AGMs and install the AGMs. This will help with battery maintenance as I rarely take the camper off the truck. Thanks again, PhancyRe: Another battery questionWhy not ages?
