I was able to reserve a specific site for our stay starting just after Labor Day through receation.gov, which we have done at other NP cgs in the past. We've also used reserveamerica.gov to do similar reservations at various cgs. Once again, thanks for the help. If anyone needs my help with anything on this, let me know. KopakRe: Acadia NPbilltex, Thanks for the info. I may very wellget back to you about your experience at Blackwoods cg. I plan on getting in touch with the cg once they open 5/1 and see if I can reserve a site or not. Thanks again, KopakRe: Acadia NPThanks for the info on Narrows. Actually, we were thinking about staying in the NP, sites $20-$40/night.Anyone have any experience with the NP campgrounds? Thanks, KopakAcadia NPThis topic has been moved to another forum. You can read it here: 28330242Acadia NPWe're considering a trip to Acadia NP just after Labor Day and are looking for advice in choosing a campground and hopefully a site within that campground. We're hoping for a site overlooking the ocean and don't necessarily need hookups. We like to hike and flyfish,, if possible. Any help from folks who've been there would really help us out. Thanks, KopakRe: Montana campingDan, I remember it well. I've fished there, too. JohnRe: Montana campingRamblin Ralph, DWeikert, Thanks for your responses. It gives me some much needed info. KopakMontana campingWe'll be heading out to the Rockies this summer and will be spending some time in Montana. We like to fly fish and hike and would like to spend a week or so on the Big Hole river near Butte. Any suggestions as far as nice little campgrounds in the Wise River or Divide areas? We don't require hookups, necessarily. We'll also spend some time on the Madison River near the Three Dollar Bridge. Any advice on CGs on the river there, too? This below zero and single digit temps really get me to thinking summer, although nighttime temps in the Rockies in August at times get pretty chilly, just not that cool!
