I installed it for him.Re: HEY we need a sticky for our TT pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It's been a while since I've been on this site, Or any RV site really but we've never stopped Camping. In Sept.2020 we upgraded our trailer from the 2014 Prime Time Avenger to a 2021 Forest River Vibe 26RK. We love everything about this trailer. In February of this year we decided it was time to get a bit stronger with our TV and we replaced our 11-year-old Silverado 1500 with a 2019 Silverado 2500 High Country. This truck was made to pull. I would think our Ram 1500 Hemi etorque should have no problem, but we do have some pretty serious mountain grades in the NC mountains. They have that exact unit at a CW near me, but they're asking crazy money at $36900. I've seen it for $27-28k at several dealers online I also just checked out the Freedom Express 279RLDSLE. I would need to see it in person to see if it compares. Now I'm also hooked on the 12V frig idea. Both have them. My daughter pulls hers with a 2017 F150 with the 2.7 eco boost.. traveled from PA to Florida to Gatlinburg TN, to Luray TN and home. no issues with either the truck or the 26RK Vibe.. SHe got the 50 amp and 2nd ac.. paid $26,000 We paid $28,900 for ours at Johnston RV in Cullman Al. We looked at a "left over"2020 unit a couple of weeks before we bought that had been used as a parts unit for sold trailers that had items that didn't work. They were asking full retail price($25,995) on that trailer and no delivery date on the replacement parts that were missing.Re: Checked out a Vibe 26RK, Mallard M25,Grand Design ImagineWe just bought the 2021 Vibe 26RK. We have only been able to take it out for a long weekend but that was enough to know we are going to enjoy this trailer. The extra counter space over our last trailer is what hooked us, but the details are what sold us. We have only found one thing that I have to do and that is caulking around the base of the shower enclosure. Yes the Slide and dinette do block the pantry doors from opening fully, but it for small item storage because it is actually not large enough for a pantry. The rear overhead cabinet is more than enough to hold all our pantry items and is in easy reach of the prep area. We bought the 50amp, dual A/C unit and in the Alabama heat and humidity, I wish we had done it sooner. I put large deep shelves in the bedroom closet because there is no linen cabinet, but we have plenty of room in the wardrobe closet for hanging items. Our 2010 Silverado pulls the Vibe easily and it's a nice combo. Re: Significant hiatus but I'm back!I bought my Equal-I-zer hitch in 2007. We sold our trailer last weekend. I didn't let my hitch be part of the sale.A little time and swear in the Alabama sun and it will be reset for our next trailer.Re: Big bang soundYou own a Hybrid camper. Our first one was a hybrid and we enjoyed it very much but we never experienced the "Bang" sound on dirt roads. Do you use a WHD hitch? At one time we did have an undersized hitch ball and without the stress of the distribution bars the coupler would clunk around on the ball. You may want to post in the Hybrid Trailer page and you may get a better answer than I can give.Re: RV dining table leg for bed posistionThis is a really great idea. Our wrap around dinette makes a 3/4 bed that is 84 inches long. It easily sleeps two adults... often. We have a larger than normal table surface and I do worry about it cracking when company gets out of bed sits on the edge of the "bed". This would be an easy fix.Re: Storm damage at wind Creek State Park cavie wrote: OUCH!! Hope no one was hurt. Only one woman was reported to have a minor cut to her head after she was trapped in her fifth wheel.Re: Storm damage at wind Creek State Parkand more pictures. Storm damage at wind Creek State ParkYesterday the Southeast was hit by another round of severe storms from Texas to the Carolinas. With lots of tornadoes and wind damage. Here in Alabama we had many cases of extreme "Straight Line Wind" strikes. Wind Creek State Park took a direct hit with with winds near 70 miles an hour. These pictures are from a Facebook member who was there.
