The F-350 struggled to maintain speed going up highway 80. It did it when it was new. The boat was a bass tracker 175 combo about 3500 lbs. I don't remember the name of the Lance camper but it was the larger size non-slide out for short bed trucks. I don't need to do 70 mph going up but would like to hold 55-60.New 7.3 vs old V-10I had a 2007 Ford 350 short-bed gas V-10 with a large Lance camper on it, and it would struggle going up the Sierras while pulling a small boat. Do you think the new 7.3 would do better than the old V10? Thanks, JMRe: Unicorn?Rainbow silly. Everyone know that. I was looking at the host Cascade. It has everything I want but I don't think it would be a good match for a SWD. Thanks for the replies.Unicorn?I am looking for something that may not exist. A camper that has a king sized bed and either easy chairs or a comfortable couch, that will fit on a SRW 350 Ford 4x4 and be able to tow my 3500 lb bass boat. My other campers were all Lance, and they were not a comfortable place to spend an evening sitting at the dinette.Re: Jayco towhauler and F-i50I don't know how to find max tongue weight. Is that for the truck or the trailer? Thanks, JohnJayco towhauler and F-i50My brother has a 2017 F-150 with a 2.7 ecco-boost. His cargo capacity sticker on his door say 1280lbs. He wants to pull a small Jayco Toy-hauler with a dry weight of 4-5,000 lbs and a dry hitch weight of 635 lbs. I don't think he has enough payload but I am not an expert. What say you?
