Re: New Truck Camper Forum Comments I was not all that active since selling the TC a few years back but would usually peruse the forums once or twice a week just to keep abreast of things. In the post TC years I used the Routes and Tech forums more often as they were a great resource. Don't know if those still exist or not but I envision my time here to be even less than I did because this format is too cumbersome. I know folks complained a lot about the old format, I did not have an issue with it. I belong to a couple other forums and those are a whole lot easier to navigate than this new one here. ... was on the RV.net (might have started on Woodalls) since '06 but all things must come to an end. Best wishes to all you TC'ers Re: 2006 AF 990 odd slide issue MikeCrash wrote: For some reason I cannot get the picture from dropbox to show--ugh... I think that noobs do not have photo posting privileges until you have a minimum number of threads (not sure about that, but I think it has something to do with eliminating advertisements and SPAM from first postings.) Is this what you were trying to post? Re: Has anyony upgraded to Android 13 on cell phone?@ wa8yxm, So you think it is a phone hardware issue? It was not happening before the Android 13 update a few weeks ago. I noticed this only after that upgrade. I got the phone at no cost to me by switching to T-mobile. I like the phone, it does everything I need... ...and this "notification" thingy does not inhibit anything, it's just annoying.Re: Has anyony upgraded to Android 13 on cell phone? Thanks for the responses... Essentially, Mortorola told me that they are aware of this idiosyncrasy. I quizzed them as to why I could not find another person who is experiencing the same thing. (hence, me asking to the many folks here.) They said that it will be more common as people get new phones with the updated OS. They said there is nothing I can do about this. My phone is about 6 months old (that is when I got it.) They said older phones when updating OS will not see this. I am no computer whiz but it sounded like bunkum to me. I hope I described properly what the situation is and they truly understood. I sort of agree it is an app notification setting, but what app is it? I have looked at what I think it could be. I stopped by two T-mobile stores and the reps in the store (at least 40 years younger than me-LOL) and they thought the same thing but could not identify the app with which it might be associated. Here is an image of what I am describing: Has anyony upgraded to Android 13 on cell phone?Folks, My phone forced me to upgrade to android 13 about three weeks ago. I get an annoying message appearing when I close apps down telling me how many closed and how much memory has been freed up. I really do not need to know this and it is more annoying as this message box at the bottom of the screen appears for about 4-5 seconds. Not a deal breaker but annoying. T-mobile tells me to call motorola, Motorola tells me to call google. Anyone experience what I describe and anyone know a work- around?Re: Evansville to Indianapolis airport (I-69) question^^--Thank you, John, for the update. I am used to that route and will heed the advice. Perhaps next year it will all be complete (but wonder if it will be the preferred route to the airport once 465 is done.) I like allowing plenty of time (don't like to rush) and enjoy the 2-lane Indiana country roads. If I get stuck be behind a 'binder, then so be it... life goes by too quick without needing to add to the haste.Re: Durango-Silverton RR...I saw on the website the diesel alternative... not sure why that is in place. Thought it might be for when there is high fire danger perhaps. IIRC, there was a forest fire some years ago attributed to the coal locomotive.Re: Durango-Silverton RR...Congrats, Desert Captain, on the 53 years! I have done the Durango narrow gauge twice- once in 1975 as a ten year- old and again about a dozen years ago. My father built a Glen-L travel trailer back in NJ where I grew up. We trekked across the US a few times in it and one time bought us the the Durango area on an excursion down to the Grand Canyon that year. We stayed just to the north of town along side of the river at the local campground... I thought it was the neatest thing to see "our" camper from the train as we headed out. One thing that really sticks out to me was the coal dust in my hair at the end of the trip from the particles that fell from the stack waff as we traveled. It is a must- do bucket list item for any train enthusiast.Re: Camper Tie-down Pros/Cons ColoradoCorbo wrote: ~...
